Anyone know of a trustworthy source for paintless dent repair? Backing the car in the garage this morning and the kids heavy ass plastic nerf basketball hoop decided to fall apon my driver side rear quarter panel after a so nicely planned gust of wind from mother nature.....
No scratches and...
I have my used 26 spline DFX setup for sale. It has approximately 5K miles on it with some racing. I took it out and replaced it because I had a vibration in the clutch pedal which turned out to be a bent input shaft and NOT the clutch. I replaced it because I had a new clutch already in...
First and foremost, thanks to Kevin for the lift, storage of my car for a week and of course the help of getting my car on the road. Everything went pretty much smooth as can be really.
Got the input shaft replaced and the tranny refreshed a bit. Installed the Spec 3+ with steel flywheel...
Gotta thank Kevin for helping me out and letting me use his lift.
What I and everyone else thought was a warped PP or flywheel turned out to be a bent/twisted input shaft! It was in the back of my mind that it could be a bent shaft, but I thought I would have more...
Think it is time for a new clutch setup? What the hell could it be? It is getting violent. I adusted it and it does not matter what I do. I put a tad of pressure on it and then it stops. What do you guys think?
Guys with solid axles and aftermarket control arms. Do your sway bars fit? I have the Mach sway bar with Metco lower control arms and it is not even close to fitting. I am guessing that is the cost for having better, thicker control arms? Is there any options out there?
Put the car together tonight. Still need to put the rear interior in, but I have to notch out the back seat frame because of the upper control arm torque box reinforcements. Took my time and torqued everything to spec. Only zip tied the brake lines, e-brake and abs. I will address that...
Gotta thank the guys that helped me out. Gotti, Mike, Tom and Tim. Lots 'o' shit to do and got lots 'o' shit done. Installed the torque box reinforcements, switched pinion flanges (DTS messed up), installed caliper brackets, and got the solid in place. All in all the job was not that bad...
Looking at installing my solid on Saturday June 23rd. If anyone is interested in helping out let me know. Probably start around 10ish in the morning. Should not take too long. I am going to try to get the torque box reinforcements installed before hand if I can. Other than that it should...
Picked it up from DTS. Gotta say that Adam @ DTS is awesome to work with. Explained some stuff to me and chatted for a few. Anyways..here are some pics...
Ok folks, I sent the shafts back to DSS to get upgraded to the newest design of hub. So basically you will have brand new hubs that are the new style and shafts that have 3000 miles on them...basically brand new level 5's. I have retained the inner boot, but you will have to use your inner CV...
