Look at the difference in damage between the two cars. Anyone in that Le Mans would have been killed, the stereotype in the Rexus hurt her wrist.

OH SHIT! I know exactly where that is! Its in a parking lot where these old guys get together every Wednesday. There is a really good turnout, probably 50 cars or so. That lady must have came into that parking lot from the street and smashed the gas instead of the brakes. Terrible.

Back in May 1995 I had a 67 Chevelle my Sr year of college. In a matter of 5 weeks I got hit & run in the school parking lot(damage to driver's side rear bumper), I get rear ended at 25mph by a 1990 T-Bird, (both of these incidents were in < 1 week) so several weeks later I am at my folks house. 2:30am I hear my mother's car alarm going off so I bolt down there with a bat in my hand. A city cop is mid knock on the door says "you Michael and is that your Chevelle?" I said yes, why? I god damm Ford Escort driver broadsided my car from mid quarter panel to mid fender. He/She caved it in bad. They pushed the car 18 inches onto the side walk from where it was. My neighbor heard the crash and called the cops. Pure Hit & run, found pieces of the headlight on the ground and was able to call a local Ford dealer and found out it was a 84-88 Escort that hit me.
I went around the neighborhood with a 12GA loaded with AA buckshot the next morning looking for the car. I was so pissed. Never found out who it was. Car was a loss for me, I was able to drive it for the next year but sold it mainly as a parts car. RIP: Bad Chariot
True but look at where it hit, the entire front end of the Lexus basically drove into the weakest point on that car, the long ass door and the latch area. Thats alot of energy that was being absorbed by two little hinges and a latch. Not even newer cars would fare much better if they were struck in just the door.
Granted that safety in automobiles has obviously come a long ways, side impacts are usually more brutal then front/rear....
Sucks that nice le mans got ruined like that, I don't know what I'd do if that happened to my car...

Poor Le Mans ruined. Those are pretty rare. Looks like a '66.
I would not cause an accident like that even if Im drunk + asleep + eating sushi with chopstick while driving.
