Thinking about parting with my cobra but want to get some opinions regarding what it's really worth.

Original owner
Mileage: 33,326
Mods: Steggy port / 2.76 pulley with billetflow idlers/gatorback belt
Computer flashed on dyno by Apten
Full Bassani exhaust (ceramic coated headers, cat-back)
Steeda tri-ax shifter
UPR Clutch Quadrant
UPR Firewall Clutch Adjuster
Shift light
Line lock
10th Anniversary wheels (+2 more with Mickey Thompsons)
Speed of sound gauge pod with autometer fuel pressure and boost gauges
Maximum Motorsports full length subframe connectors
Steeda cold air intake w/K&N filter
Billetflow IRS Brace/pinion snubber
optima red top battery
NGK spark plugs
sequential tinted tail lights
Cobra floor mats
probably a few more odds and ends that I can't recall...

Title in hand. One of the lucky first runs that never had the 'tick. Never wrecked, garage kept. Runs /sounds amazing...big grin every time I turn the key. Don't even know why they put a stereo in these things to be honest...

Appreciate any thoughts - though going back to stock isn't in the cards since most of those parts are long gone...

If it helps I literally sold my MG VERT with 48,300 miles two days ago for $19,500. The for sale thread is nearby in this forum if you look to compare mods.

I kept the Saleen tonneau cover and it is still up for sale ;)

Thanks much! Your experience is very helpful. The autotrader 'instant quote' I received was significantly lower - insultingly so... I also don't think a dealer trade will be any better.

Any other insights/opinions/experiences? Maybe it is a bad time to be selling an 03 vert?

Thanks! That's the ballpark I was thinking... now I've got to make peace with giving her up after having it since June of 2002

You being original owner is a big deal. It's very rare these days and will help with selling it. I might even start at 25k. Many of these cars have had 4+ owners by now. I would say 1 in 10 or less that come up for sale are original owner at this point. So every time someone throws you a low offer or tries to say they just saw one on eBay sell for whatever, ask them if it was an original owner car :) One of the reasons I know this is because the guy I bought my car from was the original owner and he did it to me lol.

Appreciate it and will take your advice. I've loved every mile and can remember ordering it like it was yesterday. I just don't get to drive it nearly as much as I'd like...

Dredging this post up from the past. Still have the car... couldn't part with it back in 2015. No more mods than listed in the original post and sadly, not many more miles. Been on a trickle charger for the most part and since I've been deploying and moving about, I only get to drive it sparingly... Any revised thoughts as to what she's worth? Thanks!

Hey there. I would love to talk to you about your car if you are looking into selling it. I have been looking for a terminator for a while, just recently joined here (first post).

Are you able to pm me here? Or you can shoot me an email if you'd prefer [email protected]

Thanks,
John

It’s always worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it but I think you’re still at the same money as you were five years ago. You can always come down.
Good luck!!

It will go for at least 25 if not a couple more. There will be the OMG its overpriced etc.. but list it high 20s and don't take a dime less than 25. It will sell for that in this market.

I think a target of low 20s would be good.

MG is a desirable color and being the original owner is worth alot to me..

I'd personally pay more for an original owner, well kept car than a car that has been through 4 or 5 owners..

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the insight and advice. I've received some low ball interest, but this car is far too nice to let it go that easy. Garage kept its entire life and I have all the stock parts (minus the exhaust) to include the shifter that seems to be going for silly money...
