So this all started out I bought a 76K mile 2004 Silver cobra with intentions of doing the basic bolt ons. Then bought a 3.4L whipple crusher system and supporting mods. I wanted to have it installed with the supporting mods and make mid 6xx on pump 93 and cruise for a year until my 5.3L Boss set up was finished.
Come to find out my stock motor had a blown head gasket after doing compression test and leak down to see if it was healthy enough. So the shop did not want to continue with the work until we addressed the issue of the head gasket.
The plan was to build the 5.3L but MMR could not get the billet main caps I had made so I had the rotating assembly sent and we built..
305Ci Teksid 11:1CR
3.800" Manley Crank
Manley I-Beam Rods
Manley Pro-series Pistons
05 updated "DC" castings
M2 Race systems Stage 5 P/P

I purchased the 3.4L whipple crusher and im having a hard time deciding if I want to go big PD supercharger or twin 64/66's.

-I will be using the stock computer and don't really plan on going aftermarket ECU.
-I have a GForce built T-56 im probably going to use for now. I like ripping gears!!

My vote is for turbos... lower iats, don't need intercooler pump and all that bs anymore, big blowers are a lot harder on crankshaft and the turbos will make more power with less stress on the motor... they are just more efficient

Yeah I have a set of custom cams that MMR spec'd out for me and 05 updated "DC" heads that are ported to the moon. I have about $5,000 tied up in the heads. Im leaning more towards the Crusher for the simple fact that Termi's came supercharged. I am no purist in anyway but this is a really really tough decision. Not saying I have no budget but its pretty open and it would be pretty disgusting to have a PD termi that made close to a 4 digit number. Keep the replies coming. If anyone has been in my shoes trying to decide let me know how and what made you decide.
FYI this build thread will be started pretty soon so stay tuned. it will be title "Monster in the making"

Stay far away from MMR!! Please!! Just about a 2 year shit show with my longblock sending it back and forth for "warranty" repairs. I've wizened up and am now having a local guy go through the entire longblock and the laundry list of problems found was hysterical. I don't want a single MMR products on my engine. My car has been down for the past 2 years ever since I let them work on the engine. FML. Never again. Please read reviews on MMR and believe it. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt but no Bueno. Should have just listened. I mean you wouldn't marry the town hooker would you? Hahaha.

End Rant...

Appreciate all the looking out fellas. I have decided to move forward with the 3.4L Crusher build. I can always change up the set-up later and don't want to have the "I wonder what the whipple would've been like" conversation. Build thread coming soon. "Monster in the making"
