The bell housing 4 inches back from the face is about 2 inches wider than the 6060 and the rest of the trans is about 1 1/2 inches wider. 6r80 is about 4 inches shorter

That would probably be really tight with the compressor housings on the Hellion kit. How far down does the trans pan hang compared to the 6060?

I will look when I get home. I dont think it hangs much more than an inch lower if that. The pan is actually really thin.

12/12 things left to do:
Bolt in cooler lines
Bolt in driveshaft
Swap out gears for 3.15s
Get Matt to sync my PCM, ABS, Cluster and Keys
Update tune

Pan doesnt drop down much. The pan itsef is about even with the bottom of the bell housing. Maybe an 1/8th higher than the bottom of the bell housing.

I have already done this swap in my 2011 GT350 and Power By the Hour in Boynton Beach FL can tell you every single part needed as they have done this swap minimum 15 times already

Yeah they can do it. But I have the list together for people that are like me don't want to bother a company when they have no intention to spend money with them.

Unless you are an expert with the PCM or whatever they call it now you will need someone to program it. Just proves Ford should have been doing this all along as the 6R80 is actually stronger than the manual

Will get easier to do. If you're interested in racing, then I would keep the stock ECM and us the new Baumanator/USShift 6R controller with options like TB and easier shift commands.
PBTH has a nice option, but it's big money to pay for that experience. For many that convenience is worth it.

All said and done I will have under 2,000 in the swap since I sold my tr6060 setup. I am lucky that I have someone close that is going to sync the pcm to the car. A ford dealer can do it to, but it will likely cost a bit more than I am paying.

If I kept the stock converter and used a stock driveshaft it could have been under 750 bucks.

From there a tuner has to make a few changes in the tune to run the motor but there have been a few different shops to do it. Lund being the one I see the most.

Big shout out to Matt Honeycutt. Made a house call to program my abs module and the new pcm to the cluster and keys. Saved me the tow fee to the dealer.

I think I got lucky with the abs module. *knock on wood* it holds when the tune is loaded.

Unfortunately my n gauge can't be unlocked until tomorrow when emotion opens back up from the holidays.

12/27 left to do:
-Change rear gear. Now I'm wondering if I should go to a 3.08 after talking with Matt or continue with the 3.15.
-Load new tune

Well abs programming didn't hold, got the car running and the new throttle body I got has a bad tps. Threw a code, wrench light and barely ran. Swapped back to the stock throttle body and it ran ok lights went away and codes didn't come back. Just luck of the draw.

Need to work on the tune and finish filling the trans fluid once I get to drive it a little to get the trans temp high enough to fill the cooler.

Cars going in Sunday to have a guy swap out the rear gear.

Got my fuel pump problem figured out, I was tapping the wrong wire in the harness for the trigger. The fore controller was only seeing 4.5V which was causing the pumps to flutter on and off pretty fast. Car would run for a few mins but would eventually run out of fuel as the pumps wouldnt keep up due to them kicking off and on.

Working on logs now to get the tune dialed in.

Got the gears in and man Ford really should have put the auto in from the factory.

Getting used to the stall as its a little different.

Coyote pcm can't see the fuel pressure sensor on the rail to adjust for boost. Honestly I'm not sure how they adjust for it on boosted coyotes. But that's what Lund told me was the reason you had to go return style.
