My friend got his new Z06 and let me drive his GTR. Not sure what happened, whether it was trac control or what, but it felt like it lost a gear.
I had to tell him and his response was priceless- Launch it in the parking lot and send it back out!

Looks like you didnt shift to second.

Depending on what mode the transmission is in you have to manually shift it via paddles. Were you R-R-R?

It was only in the 2 R mode so it should have shifted on its own. It did just fine before and after that. We ran several times

Like that was my biggest concern. I was a little more concerned about a $20k transmission on a $105k GTR ha ha

I'm not saying it should've been, I would've been pretty worried about that as well... but your biggest concern doesn't mean that's your only concern.

Haha no shit, oil down the track? Gtfo

You obviously don't get to the track much, or are an inconsiderate a-hole. Either one makes your comment irrelevant.

Must be confusing me for the other guy, because I'm not that guy.

Are there really that many people that don't understand pulling off to the side of the track when you think you broke something?!

Missing a gear/damaging a tranny does not = oil down the track, even if that was the case and there was leaking fluids, the last thing on my mind would be everyone else's feelings.... Id be too worried about my buddy's car...

If the car had catastrophically failed I would have pulled over. It was more along the lines of f-ing up the cars Trans

If you think you may have hurt the car you stop, pull over and make sure your not dropping fluid everywhere. What is there not to understand? Must be on a cream puff forum if you guys don't get that.

The car was obviously still driving fine, so that is a moot point. It wastes more time sitting there waiting to be towed anyways even if the car is undriveable and you can't coast to the end to push the car off the track. If you've ever been to a track before, they usually just hook your car up with a tow strap and pull you off with an ATV. This means your car is still leaking fluid on the track if it is leaking.
