Hood Not Closing Easily

When I purchased my terminator it had a keanen cobra r hood on it with mrt hood struts. It takes me slamming the hood from about 3 feet away for it to close. this causing the hood to rub the paint off the tops of the bumper. I just had the bumper resprayed and I do not want to close the hood if its going to do the same thing. Its really annoying and I hate slamming the hood. Is there a fix to this problem? Has anyone else ran into this issue? Any advice would be appreciated

Not sure if it will help with an aftermarket, but I had this issue with my factory hood. The bracket on the core can be shimmed with a washer to help it. It fixed the issue for me, but again this was on a factory hood. Check out this thread:

You should be able to adjust the hood latch up a bit to help out with closing.
