Having a hard time picking out a rear tire for my 15x10 Race Stars. I had thought about just running the MT 275/60 Pro's because I know they will hook but I also thought I might like to drive them on the street as well. The MT SS 295/55 is an option but not sure if it will hook in first at the track. Then I was looking at the 275/60 M&H Drag Radial which I have read hooks better than the SS but not sure if the 275/60 is the one to get or try to fit hte 325/50. My car is lowered also about 1.2" Will the 325/50 M/T 325/50r15 R tire even fit? Another option if it will.

Options..

M/T SS 295/55R15
M/T R 325/50R15 (Unsure of fit)
M/T Pro 275/60R15
M&H Race Master Drag Radial 275/60r15
M&H Race Master 325/50R15

Yup, I have decided against the 325 also.. its down to the M&H Race master 275 or MT 275/295. Beefcake told me 275 MT but no real explanation. Every forum I have read ppl are having better luck on M&H for traction. Need to order these soon.. just stuck..

Everyone claims et pro is the best I wonder how close the 295/55r15 is to it for traction

Pro is an amazing tire.. My buddy ha a 1000rwhp Supra and that was the tire he finally settled on because he could actually get traction. He tried the Bias Ply R tire and had zero luck with it. Beefcake told me to run the 275 MT SS. Everything I have read says the M&H hook better and do ok on the street which has me leaning that direction.. about an 80$ for he pair with the M&H costing more. I heard the M&H run more narrow which is true.. but 10.9 vs 11.1 isn't a huge difference. I'm about to flip a damn coin...

I am in the same boat, I would assume a 295 would hook better than a 275. Wish the street R came in a 275/60/15.

I will either go with the 295/55 SS or a 275/60 M&H.

The 295 looks awesome. I found this pic with them on a car. So tempting but no one is really coming in here with some first hand experience. I keep reading the M&H will hook better. My buddies all run around on PRO's but they are also 9 second cars with converters. I think I will just get the Pro's. The R uses teh same compound as the PRO's.. I think they are basically the same tire.. maybe a sidewall difference and a few extra slits.. might as well go PRO's if you were thinking about the R's .

275 MT SS or maybe II

I have ran Pro's for three years. They are incredible, just like everyone says, smooth on the interstate as well. 100% streetable. I could dead hook a launch on concrete with them when the car was running mid 10's. Now that I have the car turned up a little further, I plan to try the Pro Bracket Radial this year. It is supposed to be a little more forgiving on marginal surfaces. The only down side I can see is that there is no DOT stamp on them. P/n: 3355R. Those are slightly wider than the 275 Pros (3754x). My $.02
