Did the 2011 have the coyote engine? How much did you pays and what were the miles? Also what region are you from? I noticed the south has higher prices but the gas is cheaper.

2011 started the coyote.

Whats the budget? We can hound some ads for you and find a decent car. Where are you located?

Best termis I can find around here that are clean with low miles are 22k! It I daily drive a mustang I definitely want a coyote for the interior and updated platform.

Dang. Hmmm maybe the best bet is instead of trading in the Honda I should get a loan through a credit union and go through a private seller. I still owe $3k on my car I wanted to trade it in and have them pay off my current loan. (Car is worth about 3k I would pay the difference if I'm negative) and put around $2500 down. Maybe I should pay off the Honda and keep it as a daily and get a loan?

depends on what you find. If you find the car you want at a dealership, it'd be easier just to have them buy yours as you suggest. However, if you find a car private party, selling yours private party would get you more ahead financially.

Just pulled my 99 Cobra out of the garage today to wash and take a short cruise, this thing has 200 more HP than my 2011 but come on the New Edge platform doesn't compare with the Coyote on so many levels. I couldn't agree more with your last sentence in that reply ^^^

I had a 03 Cobra for 6 years. Though I miss it, I'd rather have my 14.
And +1 for the coyote A6. I've never owned an auto mustang and never thought I would. I've driven Older mustang autos and they felt so weak. But the coyote A6 is impressive. Throw in a converter and it's insane.

Dealers don't pay shit for trade ins. after all, they need to make money lol. Get the mustang first, then sell your honda on craigslist.

yeah that's a really good deal! The 2012 at the dealer is 17k but with 78,000 miles. Seems most of the hidden gems are all private sellers. Maybe I just need to be patient and pay my car off once taxes come and see about getting a loan through a credit union.

Yeah brother definitely be patient. It’s a good chunk of change and you don’t want to rush. I think you should contact PenFed credit union and ask for a loan approval. They have excellent rates (many members here use them). Just put down as much as you can afford. Then once you know you are approved for X amount, you can check out cars. I think you should look at 2011+ Mustangs so you can get the Coyote motor. Honestly the previous years aren’t as fast and you will regret it. Scope out craigslist and autotrader.
