Nice. Any reason you went with sct over accessport? I wish I didn't love my SHO, FX4, and 5.0 so much because I want one in my stable as well. I guess I'll have to play the waiting game, pay off my truck and then get a lightly used one for less.

Thanks for the video. Looking good!

Put my ETS intercooler on last weekend. Waiting for the full exhaust to come in from backorder. No cat downpipe, no resonator, and a mufflerless rear section. Running Tune+ W400 kit as well.

Didn't see this post at first...

Love my ETS intercooler. Fitment was totally on point. Love it in Black

I think I'm keeping the exhaust stock for now. I like it quiet

Actually went with HP tuners, not sct

Don't get me wrong, accessport is great. But I couldn't turn down the offer I was given from my dyno to use the HP Tuners setup

They offer a similar Ngauge setup that acts like an accessport. It can store maps and also datalog in real time

For now, HP tuners flash does everything I'd need

Edit... 332whp on 22psi tapering to 20. Some run up to 26psi and seem to be safe so far. Who knows I might try a solid 23 to redline tune to pick up some power.

The ECU is INCREDIBLY complex

its not really shocking

almost all decent 4 cylinder turbo car from the factory will gain that much off basic stuff

still very nice gain tho

how big is the stock turbo?

Ecoboost mustang?

What mods and what does it make for power.

Asking for a friend haha

The Incredible thing is how much it's "holding" back around 3500 to keep torque in check.

This motor could easily make 450wtq, maybe even 470 if you let it go full tilt at that RPM.

We keep the throttle closed by 30% to limit TQ at that RPM

The turbo wheel is surprisingly small. But will hold up to 23-24 to redline and as much as 28 to 5500
Just nasty.

Some of the E30 cars are making 380-410. That would definitely be fun

This

Ecoboost or not, its been done with a 4 cyl. The CLA45 made about 100whp on just tune only making ~400whp. Still, its finally nice to see Ford pushing it as well. Only a matter of time till we start seeing more 6 cyl Ecoboost engines on Ford sports cars.

Congrats OP, shes a beauty! I really love the new Focus ST/RS cars, not a big fan of the price tag though lol

domestic crowd have always been behind. but lately their eyes have been opened

CLA45 is no joke, my brothers wife owns one

Thanks man

that sounds pretty good, but then again its similar to other 4 cylinder turbo cars, stock turbo are usually too small for the stock motor, thats why boost tapers off as rpm increases, the spike of boost low-mid range mixed with short gear ratio, torque will increase significantly over stock

that stock turbo sounds pretty decent if it can spike 28psi and still hold 23-24 to redline, and thats alot of boost for a stock turbo

I think it being a twin scroll design helps it. Not totally sure on that

I'd probably trade 30TQ for 30 top end HP though. Even though its awesome to have the mid range punch out of corners. It is just so ready to go at 3500rpm

That is one wicked front end. Looks especially wicked with the white paint. The RS is such a good looking car.

How do you owners of an RS like the ride? Especially if it's a DD. I've read that the overall ride is pretty horrible, as in way too stiff on anything but a smooth road. Just curious.

I mean it really comes down to your definition of stiff ride.

I come from my Cobra and a Focus ST. It rides about the same as my ST in normal mode.

It's not going to ride like a Cadillac. But, is it so stiff that it ruins the car? Not in my opinion

It would have been cool if it could have a "comfort" mode in the dampeners, but I really don't mind it as it is. I am "young" though at 27.

Being that I am still a HUGE fan of the Evo, this car strikes me so much as the modern day equivalent. I remember back in the day, people making up to 100whp more with boost, tune, and changing to E85. It seems Ford took the Evo formula, and made it a bit better, by offering adaptive drive modes, the ability to dyno out of AWD mode, and moving from a 2.0, to a 2.3, which is ironically the last mod most Evo (road racers) do to get the torque they want/need. I have been looking hard at these, and I think I will pick one up next year, when they come down a bit. I really can't justify another car right now, but next year, my daughter will be 14 almost 15, and she will need to start learning. :)
