This is an FYI as I have no affiliation with the seller, just passing on info as I know these were a very hot commodity for sometime: there are about 12 sets of BRAND NEW 2013-2014 base GT500 wheels for sale on Ebay right now. Looks like the seller must of purchased Ford's overstock.

^^^^Should be it. That is the link I found when searching for these wheels. That is a great price for the set. When I had my 14 GT500 I was looking for a set of base wheels and could not find them anywhere. I would think they will go pretty fast.

Yes, that's the seller. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post any links. He even has them mounted to the factory rubber (not that many people are trying to run the Goodyears.)

^^^^ You would be correct Tom. When I posted the links above they were $1299 for the PP and Base wheels. Only a few sets left of each style so the price went up $50 on the sets. Still a great price for those originals. If I still had my 14 would definitely pick up a set.

Nice wheels, but you think you could lay them on something else other than bare concrete?

Has anybody looked closely at the pictures? Why would the last digit of the part number be changed from an "A" to a "B" so crudely? I called the seller, he promises they are new OEM, and not fake.

Here is a picture of one of the front wheels I bought from Midwest Wheel And Tire on eBay. I am wondering if there was a p/n change between 10/2012 and 11/2012?

Another possibility is that they were excess assembly line stock that was transferred to the warehouse for over the counter sales and the part number was changed to reflect the change.
I checked a 2014 front wheel 2/2013 and it was stamped EA.

That's definitely plausible, I hadn't considered that. I was more worried about them being a fake cast knock-off wheel, or some kind of Ford reject. I thought it was suspicious that this place had a bunch to sell, but the number was modified. Especially on eBay. But other than that, they sure look to be a genuine OEM wheel to me, and Midwest Wheels gets great reviews.

It sounds like you have no doubt they are genuine, and the part number change is just a curiosity. Thanks Snoopy.

I just got a response from SVT Performance. They couldn't tell me who changed the part number, but they did confirm it was a good part number.

To find out who actually used an etching pen to change that on the wheel would be virtually impossible. Could have been the company you bought it from or anyone along the supply chain.

You have the correct wheel for your application.

No question those wheels are the real deal. My friend has been a Ford parts manager for many years and I had him check those wheels earlier. He still shows 8 wheels available of the 1007-EA number at the ridiculous price of $2200+ retail from Ford. His cost shows $1400+. So that deal on ebay for 4 of either style at $1349 is a better price than what a Ford dealer's cost is for one. That is a great deal for whoever has bought them. Just don't have the funds right now to pick up a set and store them. But its tempting.

You're very resourceful. I suppose the only question left is why the 2 different part #'s for the same wheel, but it's not important. The confirmation is great, and interesting. Thanks for posting that.

Ya, I got a price of $2K each from my local dealer. Crazy. Thanks for another confirmation that these are legit.

Most people interested in buying these wheels are looking for backups or have PP wheels and want a set of base wheels or the other way around. The base wheels can be color matched if they get damaged, but the PP wheels require sending them back to the original company that painted them and have them restored. That amounts to about $275 a wheel shipped and no guarantee that they will match your original wheels. For $62.50 more you can get a new wheel.
When you consider that you are getting a set of 4 wheels for the price of 1 wheel bought from your local dealer. That is if you can get your dealer to sell you one at his cost. It is pretty hard to beat this deal.
