Finally took the GT to the track last night and while I drove 2 hours to OSW to only get one run in, it at least gave me an idea of where the cars at.

Mods are:
Passenger seat, rear seats and spare removed
UPR catless X-pipe
Magnapack axlebacks
Stock resonators -_-
15x8 racestars w/ 275/60 555r's
And my tuner just flashed my ecu when I installed the midpipe and tweaked the trans some.

This seem about right? I'd love to get 11's with how the car is now. Going to SGMP next Sunday to try again.

you have an 11 second pass with your 116+ trap speed, knock your 60 down to a low 1.7. Good run for a single first time attempt.

1.7's possible on a stock convertor? I believe i just preloaded to about 1500-1700rpm and let it flash. Was gonna try to hold it higher to see if the outcome would be different, but didn't get the chance.

mid 1.8's are the best i've seen from the stock converter and the car leaves best just stabbing it off idle 90% of the time.

Solid pas for those mods OP.

Actually with those mods, tires but stock converter..damn good time. The norm that you see with a stock converter is usually 2.0's. That's all I could muster and that's flashing or flooring it at idle, but with street tires. I have seen a few 1.9's though.

With converter and DR's I can get a 1.7 60' Hoping with the 15X8's and MT DR's I can get lower.

Thanks guys. My tuner (tony G @ tuners inc) just flashed it for me real quick and tweaked the trans. But I went to SGMP yesterday and got 4 runs in and trying different launches and loading it up to around 1700 seemed to be the happy spot. But.m could still only hit 12.0's @ 117mph.

With your mods listed, it blows my mind you are running that with those times and mph. My best run N/A there is almost identical to yours but I had a 1.79 60' and ran 11.97 @ 117mph. I have a BOSS im, stall and the norm mods like yours, running on 275 40 17 NT05R's during that time.
I'm hoping to hit up SGMP here soon too. Now I have longtubes, BMR k member and will run on 275 60 15's. Hoping mid 11's and maybe a high 10 on the 100 shot. (best on the 100 shot but without the Boss, awhile back, was a 11.4 at 121 mph)

Great work here on the stock converter, that's for sure. You're definitely where I've seen exhaust-mod 5.0s go, based upon several years of observation at my local track. I feel I have a standard of comparison, since I've owned two 5.0s, both loaded, one manual BBP and 3.73 and one auto BBP, both stock bar a tune and tire and rear control arms. The auto just can't match the best of the manual at the track, as it is hamstrung by the stock TC's weak 60 foot on a prepared surface. If you can get under 1.8 on the stock TC, you are doing well. The manual would do 1.5-1.6 off a 4500 clutch dump launch w. dead hook, on a 28" tire.See sig for results....

On the road, with traction limited, the auto will dust the manual 9 times out of 10, as it's just punch and go, no drama.

My cure for the auto at the track was 100 shot of nitrous out of the hole. Then it would 1.6 all day long and blew through the cage limit.

Here where I'm at, the only times Ive been to the track and saw other 5.0's with an auto, they trapped around a mid 12 or higher on DR's. It's just that they still get around a 1.9 or higher 60' with their stock converter. When I had a JLT CAI, lund tune, ATAK axle back, stock tires and stock suspension, ran a 12.4 at 113mph with a 2.0 60'.
There was a guy with a 2015 auto but he was running 11's with nitrous and didn't run a N/A run. but M6 is different like you mentioned. I see them ripping nice 60's on the high rpm dump and running a 12.1 and that's stock except for DR's. 11's with a tune and maybe exhaust. And still talking about around where I'm at. at SGMP they do a good work prepping and if you go when it's cool, the DA is low. When it gets hot here, the DA can be 3300 or greater.
Hoping to hit it before it gets hot and this time I do plan to hit the nitrous out of the hole. The only 1 run I did with nitrous, it came on right after the 60'.

The OP's are damn good times with those minimal mods and stock converter. Almost like a factory freak. If I saw those times while I'm at SGMP with those mods, I would think that too. Even the 1/8 times are smoking. I would love to see what his car would run with a converter.

For the streets, I think most M6 guys just drop it in the wrong gear. I know if I play, i'll select shift to 3rd though it will depend on the rpms. When I ran a C5 (not sure of year but he def had exhaust) in Mexico on their interstate, I dropped it to 3rd at 70mph. We took off and he hung about 2 car lengths behind me. I only had the tune, CAI and axle back then. But I will say, I'm impressed with the A6. Being always a manual guy (except for my Lightnings, SUV's and such).

I know you're SO close to 11s, but man, those times are really good. I'd be mighty happy, even if I couldn't sneak into those 11s. At least with the mods that you presently have. Congratulations!
