Life goes very fast. I never believed my folks, but as you get older, it goes faster. Enjoy every day and everything.
100%!
I remember being younger and my relatives saying the same exact thing all the time. Time does go by so quickly now. The 2016 calendar year flew by for me.

4 months ago I was helping my dad unload limber from his dump trailer and it was jammed in the upright position and he went under it to kick it and I was 10 feet back when it fell straight on him pinning him in the fetal position on the ground, I immediately thought his neck was broken. Luckily his back was not broken but his sternum was crushed which barely allowed him to breath. He was in the hospital for 4 days and the nurse told him if he wasnt in the shape he was in his body wouldnt have been able to handle the impact. I had never been so scared in my life. When stuff like that happens it certainly gives a much different perspective on what's really important in life. I don't know where I would be without my father, but more importantly my mother to have her husband taken like that would be devastating. I wish it was me everyday because my dad did not deserve to be in the pain that he was. Such a terrible thing to go through and I hope no one ever has to witness something like that.

My mom passed away 35 years ago, and I still miss her. In 2007, I lost my father-in-law, my husband and my dog within 6 months. It's still hard. For those who have lost a child, my deepest sympathies. I can't even imagine. You're not supposed to bury your children. My dad is 97, and I don't even want to think about it.

My condolences to anyone who's lost a parent/child. I haven't had to go through that, but I know its awful.

Thanks for the post Ben and thanks for the love guys. This has been by far the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. Me and my dad were a lot closer than most fathers and sons. As corny as it sounds he really was my best friend.. I spoke to him every day and spent almost every weekend with him. He taught me everything I know about cars and motorcycles.. He brought me home from the hospital in a grabber blue 70 boss 302.. It was our only car.. Please continue to pray for me guys I REALLY need it...

Losing your father is the worst. If had all of Ben's cars, wealth, etc. I would give it up in an instant to have my dad back. April 29th marks 14 years since he passed, quickly approaching half my life span of him not being here.

I lost my mom to cancer when I was only 23. It's hard losing a parent so young.

My dad passed of a heart attack at 52, I was 17. I went on a fairly self destructive path afterwards. I eventually brought it around and could now (actually many years ago) look him in the face and tell him I have made him proud. Try not to do what I did. Continue living as if you are trying to make him proud.

My dad died on Christmas day 2014. Even though he was 78 and I knew he was in bad health it was really tough. The sight of him laying in the hospital bed with them trying to revive him still haunts me every day. Unfortunately he was my only real parent as my mom quit associating with me over religious beliefs years ago.

Ya I went back to work a week and a half after it happened trying to restore things to normal. it still doesn't seem real to me.

That's terrible man... The only good thing I can think of out of this is that I will never have to watch him grow old and maybe suffer through bad health or something but it suck because I got robbed of at least 20 years with the most important person in my life.. no disrespect to my mom she is beyond great but im not as close to her..
