Shifter vs synchro? Second gear grind issue.

Has anyone found this fix is superior to a MGW shifter upgrade?

Interesting, does the trans have to come out? If so that's a lot just in labor. As I wrote I heard 1200 bucks so I'm sure the trans comes out.

Sometime in 2010 they changed the material used in the syncros and that is when the grinding started happening. The MGW is a bandaid. The real fix is what the video shows.

Anyone have part numbers for the better syncro and blocker rings?

Im fortunate that Im in Phoenix now. Ill have to give them a call and see what labor is if I bring them the transmission.
