Wow, it's pretty awesome how close they've remained when adjusted for inflation. That makes my 2016 GT barely $1000 more than a 2003 GT even though the 2016 has more of literally everything.

Very cool! Thanks for posting. I think its crazy that a 93 cobra was in the 18k range and i think sticker on my 94 Taurus SHO was almost 28k

You can really see the price impact of the modular engine being implemented.

link seems to be about what I remember. I bought a 1999 v6 in the 17-18,000 range new. Then a 2001 gt for 22-24,000 range. I just can't bring myself to even consider buying a new 2017 mustang gt for nearly double the price.

2001 GT Coupe Deluxe - $22,730 ($31,265 adjusted for inflation)
2017 GT Fastback - $33,195 (bought mine for less than $32K)

Unless your pay hasn't pretty equally increased since 2001, you're paying marginally more for a much superior car. Not sure I follow your logic here.

But, to each his own!

and
2017 Mustang GT Fastback Premium $37,195
2017 Mustang GT Convertible Premium $42,695

My 20,000 mile 2010 gt500 = 32,000 and again why would I buy one of those for that price. My daily cars are both new(fusion and escape) in the 23k range. From a value of money stand point to me it isn't worth it.

I can't and won't try to justify a car for you, but don't say they're double the cost now when they're really only $6K more. ;)

Not trying to be the forum douchebag, but thanks for looking out.

Adjusted for inflation, I've yet to see two comparable models where the cost is doubled. Enjoy your 2010 GT500 and just let it be.

Reread my first post and understand where you went wrong. why even attack something innocent in your own thread. Wtf is wrong with people any more.

Wth, Inflation is a imaginary number in the first place. The cost isn't double but its more than this imaginary "6k adjusted for inflation". Salaries across the board haven't kept up with inflation over the years last time I checked. Maybe I need to check again.
