Looking to change out my hood. Here are a few options I have seen in person. People I have talked to have at body shops have had varying degrees of success with aftermarket hoods fitting with no rework and ironically most have told me the ones from Shelby require the most work to get fitment right. Cervinis and Trufiber seam to be the best fitting based on my limited conversations but that may not be true. Anyway, I am looking for opinions, references and advice on brand recommendations and style of hood. I have a black/black 2013 pictured first.

Thanks,
Ken

I've got a cervini cowl hood on my old fox and it fit great according to my body guy also I think the hood on the solid red car or the hood on the one with red with white strips would look great on your car

I hate all the aftermarket hoods for the 13/14 Shelby's. Big reason why I stuck w 2.9L Whipple to fit under stock hood. Didn't want to lower k-member or lose the stock hood.

That's how my wife feels as well. I am just the opposite. I personally thing the Ram Air enhances the look but we all have different opinions.

I agree 100%. Not a fan of any of the aftermarket hoods. IMO they ruin the overall flow/lines of the car, and is the biggest reason I'm going TVS Gen 2 R instead of the BIG KB and Whipples. Lowering the engine is not an option either because I've already done that to my previous 2010 and had all kinds of issues with longtube clearance.

But if I had no choice but to replace the stock hood, I'd get the Super Snake hood. My 3 cents.

I have a Cervinis hood on my 07 stang, great quality, great fit. Looking to buy the Cervivis ram air hood for my 13 Shelby. That's my pick.

IF ..I ever considered an aftermarket hood, there would have to be a good reason, besides cosmetics..................like.
New blower won't fit under a stock hood.
&
It would have to be functional and provide some benefit.

Depends if you want stripes or not. No stripes-Shelby 1000 all the way. Stripes stay stock or Super Snake Hood.

I really, really hate any of the Ram Air style hoods. If my life depended on changing hoods I'd do Shelby 1000 or Super Snake. But I'd try like hell not to change as the stock hood has the best flow/look on our Shelby's. IMHO

I'm a fan of the Shelby 1000 hood, my last Shelby had the Super Snake hood and it fit like shit.

I went down this road a few years ago. The only one that truly matches the lines & shape of the car, the Shelby SS hood hands down.
On these the problem isn't fitting, its finish. They sell them as "prep needed" and that's what they mean. They need prep, sanding before paint ready.
I'm glad I did it. Would do again if I built another Shelby. And I'm trying to work a deal on one now!

From a guy that has had a Super Snake hood and now a A49-3KR in carbon fiber, the A49-3KR fits perfectly with minor adjustment to the fenders to achieve perfect gaps.

I loved the look of the SS hood from the exterior of the car, but I hated it when sitting in the driver's seat. From the driver's seat the hood has a very odd hump to it. Also the hood didn't provide enough clearance to fit a KB 3.6L SC under it without dropping the engine. Shelby doesn't guarantee that the hood will have the clearance needed for the KB 3.6.

I went with the A49-3KR to be able to raise the engine up to the stock location to clear ARH 2" LTH with inconel heat shields by the steering shaft. The hood looks so good on the car that I haven't decided if I'll paint it.

I have your same preferences. The only hood I'd replace the factory hood with is the Shelby 1000. And the Super Snake would be the second choice. I just prefer the look of the Shelby 1000 over the others, even the Super Snake. But the Super Snake has grown on me. Personal preferences.

In the end, go with the hood that you most prefer. You have a lot of good choices.
