I don't get the Nickelback hate thing. They have sold over 50 million albums. They are #2 only behind the Beatles in album sales of a foreign band. Somebody is buying them.

my daughter will mention a song and say (or wife says) "you've heard it before blah blah" and then im like, "um no i havent. they dont play that on the stations i listen to". we just went to a wedding and a song comes on by some ed sheeran guy and theyre like, "you've never heard of ed sheeran" and im like "no. wtf is that? i dont listen to this crap"
they just need to murder the singer and hid his body in the woods. find a new singer and they'll probably be successful lol

thats funny because ive never really heard anyone hate on Rush. ive heard Nickleback many many times which i dont think is that bad.
Greenday causes me to change the station. Dookie was a great album but everything after that was eh imo and waaaaay overplayed to the point that i have to change the station asap.

I agree there is no denying their commercial success. However, their music is bland, uninspired and generic. They are not alone though, plenty of other bands just like them these days. I do think the hate for Nickelback is viral and a bit over the top, plenty of other bands deserve to get that amount of hate too.
