Little VMP 2.3 TVS goes 8.90's first time out!

Made it out to the track last Saturday for the first outing of the year. Took some power out for the first pass to get some data. Ran 9.00 @ 154.7 in 2000DA.

Added a little power on the second pass & the temps dropped. I waited 3hrs in the lanes (while watching my tire pressure drop with the temps). Cut my burnout short on accident, & spun... it still managed a 8.90 @ 155.6 with a lousy 1.37 60'.

Hell yea! That's awesome.

I'm not familiar with the build - what does the motor consist of?

What's your set up, I'm going to guess you have a small size shot on the car as well. 155 mph trap speed is great, how much power are you making? Congrats on the 8s.

Added Comp cams, ported heads, & more rpm. 63/15% 18.5 psi. Meijer's pump E85. I think my 1 3/4 headers are choking it a little. Still 3.55 gears & still tuned by Lidio at Alternative Auto. It should go mid 8's.

Stock axles with a Torsion diff. Going to upgrade those soon.

Same Whipple Mono blade TB as last year.
