Hell All,

I was looking into installing a quick release steering wheel in my car. Just wanted to see what combinations others had and or ideas. Please post your pictures of your setups and part numbers if you have them.

thanks!

So street driven cars...don't you want the airbag in the wheel?

I wanted to do this...then realized i street drive more than i am at the track...i don't have a cage and harness yet. Wouldn't i want to keep airbag for just in case?

Ive always wanted a nice Momo wheel in mine but this is a better option. I didn't want to get rid of the air bag and cruise. Its the FR 500. I bought years ago. I believe you can get a knock of version of them now.

NRG hub and quick release with Cobra Jet Sparco wheel. I used a piece of abs plastic to make a cover to go over the now exposed column.

No not yet. Its ready to go in. Just doing some wiring and stuff before dropping it back in.

I wanted to do the nrg quick release and the cobra jet sparco wheel as well. But i feel like i want my airbag still until i get a cage and harness

Its Brian Bedell, we went to college together. I used to have the black cobra way back in the day. I have a cage going in soon, and already have harnesses. Im finishing up a turbo setup currently and will be moving to the safety and inside of the car in the next month or so.

Thanks! The stock wheel, clock spring and airbag weighed in at 8lbs. The Sparco wheel, QR and hub weighed in at 4lbs so it was a 4 lb reduction
