GT500 Heat Exchange

What's the status on this? I believe MalcomV8 was working on integrating the GT500 heat exchanger in the 03 Cobra along with a few other goodies to help combat the heat issues we all experience. I have gone down the road of the Killer Chiller and all that did was create a/c issues (leaks) that I am still trying to solve!

I have zero leaks in my killer Chiller and I also run Methanol injection as well , so heat is really not much of an issue for me , and no I did not have the car tuned for methanol and it only comes on under boost and basically full throttle !! It works so well I highly suggest it !!!

Funny you'd put a GT500 heat exchanger in a Terminator when many GT500 owners replace their HE with a dual-fan aftermarket one (myself included).

What I think he meant is that he is using a GT500 aftermarket heat exchanger such as an AFCO unit in an 03-04 cobra. I'm in the process of literally copying MalcomV8 on that mod. Tubular front bumper support and a Shelby GT500 AFCO H/E. I am going to run a meziere intercooler pump and PNR trunk half moon trunk tank to help clean up the engine bay.

I am not saying it is likely to break....I mean it doesn't flow worth a damn. Do it once, do it right.

Yeah if I'm not happy with it I'll switch. No worries.

I'll be running the factory 13-14 HE on mine. Working on getting some brackets fabbed up right now.

Hes right I had one. I bought as an "upgrade" That piece of shit flow slower than my stock one. I now have a Lingenfelter Varimax pump and that thing is the shit.

Yes the stock heat exchanger cools just the liquid cool side of the kennebell mammoth. The gt500 heat exchanger cools the intercooler. Two separate systems.

Yes Before it would be pulling timing buy the end of the run. Now I can do 1/2 mile passes no problem

I have this pump....seems to flow good....not sure how it rates in comparison to the OEM or the others you all speak of....??

That is probably the worst pump available. OEM is better.
