I have the Vizio M70-D3 also. It's a good TV for the money, but not up there with the top Samsung or LG's, but with how fast TV's lose their value, there was no way I was paying 2k or more and I wanted a 70", so went with the Vizio. Biggest complaints are motion blur vs Samsung or LG, but it's hard to tell unless you are looking for it and it's no where near as bad as the Sharps. Also off center to the left or right and the color washes out worse than others. I will say you have to be careful comparing color and contrast in the store because of the lighting and no idea how the TV is setup.

Throwing out a brand without a model number is worthless. It's like someone asking what car they should by and you blurt out "Ford." Even the best TV brands have crap TV's in their lineup just like Fords can range from a GT to an escort.

My last TV purchase was a Vizio, it's OK, decent pic. What really disappointed me was that the remote it came with does almost nothing!
Power on and volume is about it. I had to download the Vizio ap for my phone to all the set up, channel search and everything else.
Do yourself a favor and whatever you get make sure it has a full function remote in the box!

Got a 65" Vizio myself, E series I believe. It serves its function well, though the HDMI handshake issues are well documented. If you can live with that, it's a good TV for the money.

A 95 escort though, right?

I have a Panasonic V10 65" plasma TV and two Sony XBR8 55" LED TV's. Super expensive TV's, but they have been excellent, and the picture quality is top notch.

I recently updated my home theater with a 65" LG OLED65B6P. I was able to snag it for $1,800 and it was well worth it. I didn't need to upgrade as my 65" Samsung was fine but I wanted to move to 4k.

Thats a great steal. I didn't see any for less than 2500 when I looked.

Like others have already said, check out Costco, rtings, and one more to the list: dealnews.com. I bought a Vizio 75 inch (not sure what series), but it was the series that had a bit more input lag than most others. I took it back and got a Samsung 75 inch that had dropped like $600 from the two weeks before when I purchased the Vizio. I haven't even taken it out of the box yet, but my older Samsung 46 LED is still looking amazing after about 7 years of use so I trust the brand. Crazy the 46 back then was $1,400 at Best Buy as an open box item and the new 4k HDR 75 is $1,900 at Costco.

Looks like it will be Vizio M or P series or Samsung MU6300 for me. The Mu8000 is $1600 vs $1200 for the 6300. Vizeo seems to be the same price so I would go Samsung for the same $. 55" TVs are half the price. I really want 65", though. I guess I'll wait for some sales unless my TV gets really bad.

I'm being told, on the AVS Forum, that the KS8000 from 2016 is better than the 2017 Samsungs & the 6300 is crapola. Something this simple should not be so complicated.
