Temperature Guage stays on all the time.

Hey guys I just hooked my temperature Guage. Grounded to chassis, and I hooked up the power wire to my fuse box just like my other gages..only problem is that Guage is always on.my other gages are won't turn on till I turn the key am just missing something here?

Is the power source the same as your other gauges or did you go into another slot?

They are all connected in together to the same bolt.

What bolt are you referring to? If it's the one on the front of the fuse block it always has power. It's directly connected to the battery.

Yes that bolt.just like my other guages but they don't turn on unless key is forward

Maybe your other guages have a relay after the fuse block stud? Odd guage wiring but yes, that stud will always have power.

There has to be a relay in place somewhere then. That post is powered up all the time. Did you install the other gauges?
