Have 110k miles on my car now. Motor, trans, irs has all been replaced and upgraded but front suspension is all original. What have some of you done to freshen up the front end. I'm not looking at tubular kmembers or anything its strictly a street car. I was thinking new rack bushings, ball joints, control arm bushings, etc? Just want to update everything before something fails in the future. Had a ball joint break on me in a foxbody years ago and that sucked! lol

Don't forget inner and outer tie rods. Maybe the hubs as well since you'll have it apart.

Ball joints and control arm bushings are a good idea, even if they don't need to be replaced. You'll be surprised how much steering response and ride quality improves with all new bushings. Pretty much anything with a bushing could use freshening up at 110k miles. That includes the sway bar endlinks and tie-rods mentioned above, as well as the sway bar bushings. If the struts are original, they might need replacing.

As for the rack bushings, I recommend Maximum Motorsports solid aluminum bushings. They made for a large improvement in steering response and turn-in, yet did not increase NVH.

If you do the bushings you might want to step up to poly. I'll second the aluminum rack bushings. They improved the steering response on my car.

Thanks guys I will be looking at replacing all of that stuff most likely. I will start building up parts and then rip it apart and do it all at once.

Front suspension was my winter project a few years ago and it made a huge difference in steering feel and overall ride quality.

I did:
A arm bushings
Inner/outer tie rods
MM aluminum rack bushings
Hubs
Ball joints
MM CC plates
Sway bar end links

Used poly bushings and purchased ball joints with grease fittings.
