it's interesting because most police officers (at least in big cities) can justifiably shoot someone almost every day. The reason there aren't more shootings is no good guy ever really wants to shoot another human being. There is a lot of restraint out there.

Domestic terror events in the name of a particular religion, in this case Muslim it cited because you don't see Christians, or Buddists blowing up people of another faith. Trump's stance on immigration is sound whether or not you believe it. I suspect it will be relaxed at some point, when the idiots in the charge of those countries stop looking the other way, and help stop the influx of known/suspected terrorists.
They aren't a race! It is about the religion that is not actually about peace! It just so happens that the most common radicals we have the unfortunate oppprtunity to come in contact with are from the Middle East with terrorist groups that have called for Jihad. But the majority of Muslims are in Southeast Asia. We know this and we know groups such as ISIS and AQ have affiliates in Africa and SE Asia, but they so far have not outdone their Middle Eastern brothers in striking out at us. The history with the US and Middle East goes back much futher with the same players than just what we know now and with these other regions.
So, let's resort to the European model of self preservation? Open borders? Come on guy!
Probably the psychological effects having an impact on their memory. They can still get pieces of information from them and their memory may come back to a point over some time.
