I am probably the only person has used the JLT123 CAI. Then switched to this Steeda Big Bore 130mm CAI. Then switched to my custom designed / made CAI intake.

My advice is don't waste your money.
Steeda makes lots of good products for Mustang EXCEPT this one. The filter is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER design than JLT. In fact I believe Pmas filter might actually copied from Steeda. It has a smooth bell mouth billet machine aluminum inlet. But the main body (the black plastic tube) is the worst design.
I still have it in my basement. You want it, you can have it. But you need to come to pick it up yourself.

I bought one and a used 155 JLT. The pinch point on the Steeda is like stock or worse. I still have the Steeda because I liked the filter and bellmouth and figured I may use it on something in future.
Go proven PMAS or JLT

I have Steeda’s intake, 2.4 and tune....no issues or complaints. Have not dyno’d so I don’t know the gains.

Measure pinch point to clear cam cover then curse Steeda!
You'll feel better. It'll still work and has a great flowing filter but again, restriction.
Lund had me pull it off at track and throw on 155 JLT
Then I trapped 137 :)

I'm convinced, I'll look into the PMAS intake.

We have had many great reviews regarding our Big Bore Intake, including thes ones below:

"
Steeda Big Bore Cold Air Intake (13-14 GT500)

I had wanted the RWH to be greater than the as Factory HP of 662hp. I wanted to day-track, also. When I looked at all of the CAI's, given Steeda's racing history, I knew this would be the one to use. Accompanying this CAI, I went with the Ford's Single bladed Throttle body and a Bama tune on the Xs4 handheld tuner. Everything fit and the 93 octane tune loaded perfectly. I cannot tell you how well it pulls, how well it tracks on course, and yet the idle is so sorted out. I'm a lifetime BAMA tunes member now and when the 373 gears and headers go on I'll be able to ask for my free tune for those upgrades. When is free, free? When it's BAMA. My thanks to American Muscle and especially the guys at BAMA!!"

Great power gains !

This is my third Steeda CAL .... need I say more? As long as I continue to buy mustang , I will continue to buy their CAI and other products. Along with the Steeda pulley and bama tune . I am very happy.

Great product and easy install
Great product and very easy to install. Also got a custom tune from steeda for the cold air and man the car comes alive. Thanks steeda for the great product, tune and customer service"

"
Sounds great
Man does this cold air intake look great under the hood! Sounds great too when you really get on it! Another satisfied Steeda customer."

I like my Steeda parts but the unnecessary size reduction to clear the cam covers make other options better. I'm sure it's fine as a mild bolt on but I'm making over 900rwhp, need more flow. Even with most bolt ons at 755rwhp Lund choose the JLT over Steeda, even 127 over 130 due to the cam cover reduction.
I actually thought of this post as I pulled the Hellcat in the garage and noticed the 130 on the self. Filter and bellmouth are great at 130mm

Review from Scott S. on Facebook:

The PMAS was fun until it started to disintegrate 2 years later. Back to Steeda, never should have left. Much better build quality, looks and it flows pretty well too. Thanks Scott Boda Timoth Jospeh Steeda Jigar Patel for a great product. I'd rather spend my money with Steeda than anybody else.

I wonder what part of the PMAS intake started to disintegrate, personally I can't see an intake disintegrating after 2 years of use. The thing just sits there nothing really comes into contact with it other than the air going into the airbox.

Anybody have pics of the pinch point on the Steeda and the same area of the other intake kits???

Me either. Maybe living on the beach? Couple years parked there is a corrosive environment. Otherwise I would think sometype of cleaning material played a part in it degenerating.
