Wow. That is insane!
If I was gonna drop that much money I would just get a low mileage 14 gt500. Granted it wouldnt have 119 miles lol.

That's a collector grade vehicle, for someone looking to preserve the past.

I sold a a rare Vert, got everything it was worth. Not collector grade, it had 29k miles. This car represents a time capsule. Only a few buyers would appreciate this car.

Not so perfect in terms of being a collectors item. Granted those mods are easy enough to reverse...

At this point, that car is for a collector who will park it for 30 years. These cars are mass produced, Ford vehicles worth nothing special unless you have something like this and are willing to sit on it.

If you want to drive the car, buy something with some miles on it. I've got over 100,000 miles on mine and enjoy it as a semi-daily driver. Sure it's not worth $30,000 due to the mileage, but in terms of an investment neither is a $60,000 dollar car sitting in your garage when you could have had made good money in the market over the last few years.

Bought my '07 five years ago with 367 miles on it, still wrapped in plastic and not dealer prepped, for 32K. This guy is off his rocker.

Hell even the 08 and 09 GT500 KRs are getting cheap. They're going for 40k now, Ford just built way to many GT500s, they aren't all that special, and that's coming from a GT500 guy who has had 3 and looking at buying a 4th one.

$40K's were a while back, owners may be "asking" more, but buyers/bidders are not paying. The world wide bidding audience for 2008's is showing into the $30K's......2009's will bring a little more for the year newer, but then they are not 40th anniv. models, so it can equal out for someone wanting a 1968-2008 40th. At some point, if the sellers want to move these KR's, they will have to swallow the current "real world" value or keep their car and watch it fall further while hoping for an uninformed buyer who has not done their GT500KR homework.

^^^These prices are close to a current entry level Super Snake of the same year at 605hp, the 725's are doing better by $1000-$1500 depending upon the specific car.

Here is a 2009 GT500KR for comparison.......1500 original miles......

The 2007 Convert. shown in the original post................."Dreamer".......... and certainly not a "wrapper condition" car, just because you throw some seat plastic over the leather. Those owner added mods are not as "Ford" wrapped it.

These cars will never be worth anything. Way too many of them. Better off buying a clean low miles 03/04 at this point since they are on the way up, if an “investment” is what you’re after.

The rare 2007-2014's will be the unmolested/unmodded cars, and in the end there will be very few of those examples in comparison to the overall build number per year.

With the knowledge people are gaining on what to look for when buying a GT500, the "back to stock" cars will quickly be identified as not the cars they are presented to be.

I agree. Those that actually drive and enjoy them arent really worried about trying to resale them and to make a profit.

I agree with this also.

Heck, does a person really think that an owner of a 1965-1970 GT350 or 500 Shelby was thinking about "future value" when these cars were new or 10 or 15 years old? a 1969/70 BOSS 429? The Mach 1's?

The market became what it was and is, no matter what the owners thought back then.

.............and then once the market evolved, there was a quick reality check that the mods on the cars were worthless for value and the modded parts were replaced with oem parts that increased the value.

But the 2007-2014 GT500's are a long way off from that point.

That's bad ass. Mine had 6k miles when I bought it for $29.5 and I thought I got a good deal lol.

I've already doubled the miles on mine in about 10 months.

I will say though, that a stock 07 GT500 is so slow and underwhelming that I wasn't surprised how few miles it had when I bought it. BORING!
