That was a super fun auction, entire crowd was standing for the GT. This is now the 3rd one that I know about to sell for 2+Mil. I expected it to go higher due to the tax write off though

I know of this one and Cena's going for about that much, but do you remember which was the 3rd one?

If I own a car and decide to sell it, I will sell it. I'm not sure how anyone can control what a person does with their personal possessions.

I kind of like Ford did it that way though. It puts the car in the hands of the people, for the most part, most deserving of it. It prevents someone getting a hold on it for the sole purpose of making a huge profit on and then possibly having that very car in the hands of someone not as deserving.

But like the Dodge Demon I believe, you have to sign a contract stating you will not sell the car with X amount of time (it may have been 2 years, I can't remember). So people know what they are getting into.

Yes, Ford's contract with Cena IS binding. He cannot legally get out of it. He cannot sell it car for at least 24 months.

First, I agree that Ford has every right to do what they did.

Second, I think Cena is an idiot for selling said car.

Third...what if he was gifted 2+ million, let a friend test drive the car for 2 years, and then signs it over as a gift? LOL

Besides the Ford GT, the second nicest thing I saw was the constant shot of that chick's fat ass standing next to each car.... I bet that ass added 30% to each vehicle sale price!

Pretty sure it's been the same girl for the last couple years. And if I'm wrong, they've all had very similar bums lol.

I missed the auction, who was the seller? Someone at Ford or a private seller?
Just curious due to the 24 month lease thing Cena agreed to but this one gets auctioned off for way about MSRP

I still don't see the appeal of this car. With everything else out there, why would you drop $2MM+ on a V6 Ford?? McLaren 720S, Ferrari Superfast, Bugatti Chiron...so many other far superior cars for that or way less money.

Then by doing so, you can decide to get sued.

They sold the Ford GT to the wrong guy

I didn’t watch the auction, anyone have a screen shot of this?

Heritage and rarity.

There is a shit load more to a car, especially a very special one, than just performance.

That's like saying there is no point in buying a 250 GTO because you can buy a Mustang GT that will walk all over it for $38M less.

Have you seen it in person? It makes a 918 look bland, same goes for the 720s.

The 918 is one of the blandest looking hyper cars. Yes it performs incredible but if you look at values it’s cheaper than the P1 or Laferrari. When the doors open up you know you’re in exotic territory. Why Porsche added regular doors to a hyper car is beyond me.

Kudos to ford for stunning the automotive world, it’s not a million dollar hyper car, but it looks like one.

Not even close to an accurate comparison, and I was speaking to more terms than just performance.

But to each their own. Interior of a Focus, styling of a Factory Five GTM kit car and the engine from a Taurus. But, limit production and make it expensive and the sheeple will flock to it.

Hard pass for me.

Yeah, sat in one too. Not a fan at all, just don't get it.

I think you need to your eyes checked and head for that matter.
