This goes without saying, but if you buy a used trailer, make sure it has TRAILER TIRES on it. Passenger car tires or even light truck tires are completely unsafe and illegal on a trailer that is capable of transporting a car.

That is the exact opposite of the advice I'd give. After blowing out two brand new trailer tires (different manufacturers) on two different trailers I stopped buying them. The trailer tire market is almost exclusivity Chinese, and the quality simply isn't there. In addition to material failures they dry rot at an alarming rate. I now run commercial truck tires (BF Goodrich Commercial T/A is my go-to) on my trailers and have yet to have another problem.

My brain is racked from looking all day for enclosed trailers near Northern NY. Anyone bored and can find me a solid 24’ around $5,000?

Check out racingjunk.com theres some good deals on used trailers. I saw a brand new racepack trailer for $4999. Has cabinets and lights. But its a 20'. Still a pretty damn good deal. The used stuff is good too just have to look.

Racingjunk.com seems to be all in the south east. Won't work for me. Was worth a shot.

That is a cynergy trialer. They build local to that dealer. I bought a 24' version a couple years ago because it was the last one they had and they were on Christmas break for 2 weeks. That said, I would get the 20'. The 24 is incredibly long and it is hard to fit in gas stations with it. If you need a 24 or bigger, get a fifth wheel setup. As far as quality, I just moved from Georgia to Colorado. I towed 1600 miles with at least 1000lbs over what it says. I bought 3 spare tires because I have never towed a car trailer any distance without blowing a tire. This trailer was on its factory tires still, so I figured I'd blow a couple of them. On this trip I didn't have one tire failure or axle bearing failure. I did change out the factory bearing caps for bearing buddies.

Tistan, Thank you so much for your feedback!! That really helps and maybe I'll get two spare tires and rims. He says he's "a private dealer, No website, No big business, NO OVERHEAD—THATS HOW I KEEP THE PRICE LOW." If anyone wants his number, PM me.

I was looking at the 22' V nose. 24' is a bit too much.

Sid, Is it that bad with the roof you see here for the price he's offering? What's the downside? Roof leaking?

More seams mean more chances of leaking. As that trailer moves it will flex and eventually the sealer is going to fail (time and UV takes a toll). In a wood heavy trailer you're going to have to deal with rot.

All that being said, I wouldn't buy any trailer new. They depreciate pretty quickly, though not as bad as a boat or RV.

I guess you don't live where you will fail annual inspections for having non-trailer tires. I see your point but that is not an option where I live.

Have you ever checked used enclosed trailer prices? When I was looking, I was finding used prices to be the same as new.

Looks like I found a smoking deal on a 2018 "Quality Cargo" 8 1/2'x24' for $5,600, spare tire, mount, and all. Guy just bought in FL 3 months ago to move all his house hold goods up here. I'll check the roof and see what it looks like. It's buried out in snow and he's brining it out tomorrow.

If anyone is in the NY area, you can contact this guy to see if you can get a deal on his GA trailers (pics above) that he brings up. 631-428-7282.

Will post pics tomorrow.
