Very true. Having actually been through the process and during that time must of been wild. GT500 just gettting released and an 09 coming out then super snake being offered and hearing about a project code red. How can one make a decision? Haha

I remember the Code Red thing vaguely, but it seemed more like a Kelly Johnson/Skunk Works thing rather than something that was going to be offered to the public back in the 2007-2009 time period. It seemed more like a "big project in the works" but veiled in secrecy.

The Super Snake on the other hand was a huge deal, much publicity, long waiting lines, 700+ hp out of a 50 state emmissions legal production Shelby, heck, just now, 10+ years later Ford is finally getting to that power level........In the Shelby world, 700+hp was 10 years ago.

I had not yet acquired my '08 GT500, but it is very expensive and Reher-Morrison Racing Engines builds a great powerplant. If I were to go down that road it would be from another great engine builder, NOT NRE or SA. IMHO they ain't worth the premium. oB
