Ok, so Viking has had these struts out for a while, but they recently released (within the last year or so is my guess) the sway bar connector kit.

To my knowledge these are now the only double adjustable aluminum bodied struts available for the S197 platform.

I saw Billet pro shop had these on their main page and thought Id share. So you guys that are into the twisties, this should get your jimmies in a bunch. :D

Those Viking spring rates seem soft, assuming that "12-350" means they have a 350 lbs per inch compression load. And what the heck do "Soft-Easy up" and "Med-Firm Drag" mean?? Kind of confusing. None of it seems or reads like it would be for twisties.

I think the 12-350 description is a 12" long coil-over spring with 350 lb.in. While soft/easy-up is how I like my eggs, I'm thinking it has to do with two different sets of valving, one for fast weight transfer and the other for firmer ride.

Their really designed from Drag Racing not twisties. I have them on my car and their bad ass! best coiler setup I've ever bought and I've had quite a few over the years with different vehicles.

But the car still handles amazingly compared to stock so they mite be designed for the strip but they can definitely be used on the street to improve handling. their just not really designed specially for handling. I street my car primarily so they work great for both applications actually.

You wouldn't happen to know how much they weigh, would you?

Can you tell us what spring rate you went with?

@GNBRETT Do you have the sway bar adapters for the car that are now available? Running without a sway bar would definitely make them not fun for aggressive handling. But not having the front sway bar also helps for drag racing.

They sure do look pretty!

@70SCJ @GT Premi I have to imaging that Viking has a firmer set of spring rates available than whats advertised on the BPS website. Id give Viking a call to see what they could do for an enhanced handling rate.

Go to Summit Racing's website. There's no shortage of spring rates in whatever i.d. and length coil-over spring you need.

Vikings are bitchin for drag racing, 2 years ago I bought the QA1's for the front and they are about the same weight as the stock struts, on my spring rate I tried 150,160,175.and 225.
The 175's work best for me on the strip for weight transfer.

these are by no means drag only. Viking is very successful in road racing and thats where their hearts are. Chris King competes with his Camaro as does his son.

They have road race valving available just drag is more common, and they make any spring you could want.

Hit up Juggernaut Power for viking needs especially for road racing they are great with it.
