Anyone done a DW300 or DW400 replacement to the stock pump? I have a suspicion my pump isn't working as it should and I don't really have a need to drop $850+ for a new fuel system if I don't need to. Looking for advice on if I'd need anything else or just order and install? Someone said I needed to have a venturi fitting added to the pump.

Check the voltage on it and make sure its what it should be. My tuner thought my fuel pump was going bad and it was fine. It ended up being that my BAP was installed wrong when they installed my Paxton. I fixed the wiring and all was well. Figured I'd mention it, just in case it applies.

I put a Waldo 465L in my stock hat. It wasn’t easy but can be done. I drilled the outlet fitting as big as possible and ran Gates 3/8 submersible fuel line from the pump to the T and the T to the outlet. With a BP I’ve got plenty of fuel for 705 rwhp from an old Whipple.

my bap is a plug & play style, I've also checked the voltage at the bap and it is where it is supposed to be in my case.

Additionally I tested without the bap and got virtually the same results.

I know a while back i knew some people that tossed a 465 into the stock fuel hat, without any real difference. From what i gather the hat itself (more the 90* bend at the top) is not big enough to support more flow.

your best bet is to do a fuel system vs relying on a BAP to keep your engine going.

i'd recommend getting a GT500 fuel hat and piece together a fuel system, or make it easier and get a Sai Li fuel system. Cheap, effective. should support 850+ on E85.

Fuel systems are not cheap, but they are much cheaper than blowing up an engine... just keep that in mind. :)

The 11-14 hat is a straight fitting the hose connector is a 90. I drilled out the fitting through the hat, it’s very, very small and there is plenty of room to enlarge it. Sai tunes my car and he said I had plenty of fuel at 705 whp on pump gas NOT E85.

Sorry you feel that way, but I feel that if I'm going to put boost to a car, I should make sure that a vital part is as robust as possible... As I stated before; a fuel system, done correctly, is MUCH cheaper than rebuilding a whole engine.

Drilling out the hat and shoving a fitting in and then putting a 465 (which is not designed to be a return-less pump) is not the way i would do it, but hey, to each their own...
