Hey SVTP,

I bought a JLT catch can 3 years ago when I still had planned on running a PCV system (on going project car). The PCV system is all gone now and I've had dual breathers in the meantime.

Can I still use this catch can on the passenger side cam cover by running a line to it and capping off the outlet? Or will that be an issue...

Thanks in advance

Use a catch can to snag fumes if they bother you but contaminants in the oil removed by a functioning PCV system will extend oil and engine life!!:)

A healthy PCV system has much more benefit than worrying about a small amount of oil and water vapor in the intake.......UNLESS you have tons of blowby!!

For boosted applications the PCV system becomes more of a hindrance than it is helpful. Case in point 12K miles without a catch can and another 10K with a catch can. Very common issue for boosted applications and this does cause issues and affect performance. I now run a combo of breathers and catch cans and no not suffer form oil issues.

Hope you change your oil more frequently now then!!;) How's the blowby smell in the car with breathers??o_O

I have 270K miles on my ProCharged 2004 Marauder with NO OIL problems using catch cans.....oil changes at 5K mile intervals!!
