What am I cooking bromenio?

I am just stating facts mein. If you knew me, youd know this to be true.

Im not saying nursing cannot be hard work. Im simply saying that it is not quite up to the level of hardship as some of the other jobs pointed out.

Smells like stew. Im agreeing with you. Those jobs are hard as hell. Nursing is a hard ass job too and nurses work in different fields too.

My bad man i missread what you posted up.

Just what in the hell do you think being a nurse is? Seriously. Labor intense.
When is the last time you couldn't take a break or piss for 8 hours? When is the last time you worked a 16 hour shift to keep someone alive?
You are showing just how ignorant you are....
Maybe you all should associate with different people because the women I work with all bust their ass. They bring in food on the days that you forget lunch, offer to help if you get in a jam and need a temp babysitter, go out of their way to bring each other into work if one cannot get to the hospital and keep uninformed morons alive.....
Women may not be able to keep up 100% of the time in physical aspects but they have all of you beat on compassion and empathy.
Sure they complain, just like a lot of you guys here that have a "monthly flow."
I did state that nurses bust there ass. I never said they didnt. You obviously didnt read my post.
I actually dont get a chance to eat or piss most of the time plus i work alot of tripple shifts. And im on 20+ days and off 3 days.
I asked for peoples opinions. No need to get nasty. All you had to do was give your experience.

I hear you man. No doubt nursing is a job that not everyone can do. It requires intelligence, attention to detail, organization, the ability to deal well with high stress scenarios, working long hours. But definitely not what Id call a physically demanding / heavy manual labor type job.

To give you an ilustration: if you could magically give a roofer your knowledge and skillset, he could go on to do your shift, no problem.

Now reverse scenarios and you would flat out die or quit on the first summer day.
Well said☝️

Tough topic.

-Men and women are inherently different. That's ok.
-If two people can perform the same job effectively, they should be offered the same pay. Period.
-Women tend to be better nurturers and are, on the whole, better suited for philanthropic positions in terms of numbers only
-Men tend to be better laborers and are, on the whole, better suited for blue-collar positions in terms of numbers only
-There is no rule that a man nor a woman cannot obtain a position outside of what is stated above
-Statistics that state that women get paid less are often pulled from national averages that stem from the facts listed above- with the exception of medical professions, most philanthropic positions do not pay as well as the alternatives.

There's the statistical disparity. Outliers exist.

However, there is truth in how men and women are treated differently in the workforce. It's simple human nature. My wife is in a position mostly dominated by men. Some guys won't let her do her job because "she is a woman." Oh boy does she get pissed. She's 5'5" and built like a UFC fighter- best not to piss her off, but some of the guys she works with manage to do it. I watched her lift up our 54" riding mower and push it out of the shed with the accessory drive engaged, but they won't let her lift up a 20lb box at work. This kind of crap is common, but the #metoo-tier "so n so gets paid more" garbage gets more attention.

I used to work as one of two engineers in a department of mostly women. Now granted, I'm no George Clooney (seriously), but I used to attract some unwanted attention from the women in the department. They used to try to push the limits to see if they could get me red and embarrassed. Most of the time it was harmless, but now and then it would be a "whoa, wtf" moment. (and for the record, no I didn't enjoy it) Ever heard of a guy going to HR because a woman was acting inappropriate? Neither have I. There's a reason.

tl;dr
It's the same problem society battles over every damn day. Outliers make the news, everyone gets bent out of shape about it, and nobody addresses the real issues.

Now now stop it lol.

There aint ONE dude on a frac site swinging a hammer for 12 hours. I've been on dozen and dozens of frac sites from pennsylvania, to TX, NM, CO, M.D.

Aint no damn reason for anybody to swing a hammer for 12 hours. Here's the reason people get on frac sites.

YOU DONT WORK THAT HARD.

Yes and No.

There's plenty of " hammer swingers" on frac sites making 100k and more a year

Well you probably work in a very low producing company. Theres a reason why we are always busy and continue to have contracts even through the down turns. I also take it youve never been on a rig up crew. Which they rig up and down all day long. Also by swinging a hammer im referring to non-stop work. Getting the job done. No breaks. No food. Berely enough time to guzzle down water.

Lots of a good examples in here. I have a small one that involved my ex-girlfriend. She would ask me what I would be doing to my cobra and I would go into deep detail just so she could understand and she would reply with a snobby attitude saying “what? Because I’m a girl I don’t know about cars?” So then the very next time she asked what I was doing to the car I would be very vague and she wouldnt understand and then her response was “why are are talking to me like I’m suppose to know everything about cars?” Like wtf.

It's simple. Women want equality as long as it benefits them. The moment it doesn't, they're just women, and you should've helped, done more, taken over, etc..

Work with a lady who is a hell of technician. ASE and Lexus Master certified as well.

Also went to tech school with chicks who still had a hard time diagnosing simple electrical circuits weeks before they graduated.

i think the "women have it harder than men" inequality debate is pure bullshit! If the women fighting for women's rights to vote, work, and have all the same rights men do were to time travel to present day and see how far women have come, and then see the ppl bitching about women's inequality, they would look at them like they're a bunch of ****-tards that are looking for an easy ride in life and beat their asses.
Tbh i think the only inequality that currently exists is men's inequality. it doesn't bother me, but it really pisses me off when women bitch about not having the same rights as men. It's complete bullshit. A good example is car insurance. Men have to pay more, but you don't hear women bitching about that! Also, it's now easier for women to advance in certain professions than it is for men. Good example: ppl that make a living via social media like YouTube, IG, etc. Most men have to work tirelessly and in some cases it takes years to build a following and subscriber base, before they can make a consistent income whereas women can build a huge following in a matter of weeks, or even days. Same goes for servers in the restaurant industry, which i can see why. I'd rather have a beautiful woman as a server than a dude, and I like watching beautiful women work on cars.

As far as servers go i always get the fat ones or the gay guys @Luviathan_5.0.
I tip them better though because the service is always better than the skinny bitch thinking she’s doing me a favor waiting on me

Yep. She goes to get on a forklift and it's "oh, no, you shouldn't have to do that- here let me do it for you."

Or she goes to use a crowbar to open a crate and someone goes "no, women shouldn't be doing that."

Lol well that explains it. Haliburton is by far one of the worst oil field service companys. Along with frac tech and sanjel. Baker wasnt bad but really bad upper management. You should try and work in the north sea, alaska, Argentina, Venezuela, africa. Very different then sitting in a cab in North Dakota. Although the weather in ND is horrible in the winter.

Thats messed up. They should let here do it or atleast help if she asked for it.
We had this green engineer come out and wanted to change some hydraulic filters, after finally breaking it free with a 5 foot pry bar and cheater pipe she got drenched in hudraulic fluid. She was pissed. She actually ignored us until she left several months later.
We did get this one engineer girl who knew her stuff. Dont remember the school, i think MIT. She was super smart and sharp. Never pulled the women/men card. She could run the jobs and knew how alot of the equipment works. We need more people like that.

These are the cavemen that give us men with half a brain a bad name.

Side note, forklifts are fun as hell to play with. I worked in a warehouse way back in the day. I have fond memories of forklift donuts. :D:D
