Disappointed that Dodge hasn't done more to improve braking and handling. Car is still my favorite.

As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." They are selling really well as is and they just released the wide body which addresses, partially, the traction issues. I think they are just more concerned with comfort rather than trying to make it do better in the corners.

And the wide body is starting to grow on me. I'm liking the look of them more and more, especially the rims. I really love the burgundy color they have with those cars. Almost like the Royal Crimson color for the new Mustangs.

Actually, the wider wheels/tires as well as the electric power steering do address braking and handling. The wheels & tires also help with acceleration. The base hellcat already brakes really well as it is with it’s huge brembos. The 305 tires will help it stop even better. Remember, the car is 4,500 lbs. so it’s never gonna handle like a sports car unless they start cutting a tremendous amount of weight but that wouldn’t make much sense this far into the current body style.

These things have really grown on me- I saw a black hellcat challenger the other day and it was awesome looking -menacing and angry looking and sounding- I have to think the widebody version would be nicer in person too.

I do 'question' the attempts by car companies trying to make cars all in one animals- super fast with awesome handling at speed in turns, etc. given that that type of driving has very limited applicability to most people unless you are tracking the car...THERE I get the enhanced handling and speed and engineering. But for most people who do nothing but drive their cars on the street you can only use so much power and speedhandling- while I love spirited driving as much as anyone else, even I cannot use all the power of my GT500- and I am not even trying to blast around corners as fast as I can so better handling does nothing for me and I cannot really use more power because I cannot even use what I have 90+% of the time without risk of killing myself or crashing. To me that is why I still love my 2014 GT500= it looks awesome plus does what I want it to very very well- get from A to B faster than just about anyone else. If I wanted to track a car then by all means a GT350 or Porsche or Corvette or some other hypercar would be my poison. Just my oh so humble opinion.

If only there was an autobahn in Pennsylvania or a neighboring state!

Well now a non-wide body Challenger Hellcat just looks stupid. Dodge should have done the wide body from the start.

I can't imagine those flares are diff. than the demon ones but something looks way better on that car. Maybe its the color; I only see videos of red demons?

The wide body has 20” wheels. The Demon is on 18” wheels and has way more tire gap.

Wonder why not an option on other models. A Scat Pack widebody would be a cool option
