Kooks Headers + Hi Flow mid pipe retaining factory mufflers would be a very good choice if you dont want mind numbing noise

I'm running Kooks and their high-flow cat H-pipe with Borla ATAKs in the back.

Before the cams, it was mild at idle and screamed under load. After the cams, it'll make windows rattle at idle. I can't imagine how loud O/R pipes would be on these cars.

I've only had mine less than a week, but it came with Kooks and high-flow cats with the ATAKs. The ATAKs are coming off this weekend...and I like loud exhaust.

I installed a set of Stainless Works 1 7/8" on my 2013 w/ hi-flows and x-pipe and couldn't be happier. Fitment was perfect, I installed them in my garage with no lift and it wasn't too bad. Took a road trip last fall with them and cruising didn't seem any different then w/o headers. You can really hear and feel them shine when opened up though. The x-pipe sounds fantastic with stock mufflers! It screams when you really open it up but it docile when driving normally. Sounds better by far, than my father in-laws 2012 with an off-road h-pipe and stock mufflers.

Similar to 1 Alibi 2, I have Kooks 1-7/8-inch headers and Kooks "Green" catted H-pipe (not an X-pipe), mated to OEM mufflers. I personally like the sound of an H-pipe over an X-pipe, and this Kooks setup allows me to pass New York State emissions inspections without an issue and without fear of failing the emissions test. I really like the sound of the OEM mufflers mated to this Kooks setup - for me personally it just sounds perfect and drives perfect.

Installed ARH 1 7/8" long tubes, H-pipe along with their Cats. Zero fitment issues and running thru the factory mufflers. Perfect sound for me.

I've run ARH on my 2 of my Shelbys and fit and finish is top notch. The same can be said for Kooks but they are slightly shorter in length than ARH making them closer to a mid length header.

Did any of you guys have to drop the k member for installation or use a flexable dip stick tube?

Nope. Probably would have been easier in the end but I went with supporting the engine from above and then removing the motor mounts. Tearing everything out and putting the tubes in was pretty easy with the k member in the way. Getting the motor mounts and starter back in were a pain though.
Stock dipstick, everything fit like a glove.

I dropped the K member and steering rack assembly. Plenty of room then. Dipstick went right in no problems. I’m running Kooks 1-7/8 with off-road X and stock mufflers. A little loud at times then not loud enough when out with a bunch my other buddies and their stangs!

That's what I'm saying, I have ARH 1-7/8 headers and a OFR H-pipe with stock mufflers and for the most part the car sounds great, but when I'm out with my other car buddy's it's not loud enough.

Is there one you think is loud enough? You have the setup I plan on going with except I plan on using the supersnake mufflers with oval tips.
