Well I'm not a fan of these wires and coils that I bought. I have a miss at idle ever so slightly and I feel like I'm running a tad rich. I just ordered brand new motorcraft wires and could from the rock. So hopefully it will smooth out my idle issue. I've had the idle issue since I've had the card. The car has msd wires and then I went to ford racing wires and it got worse. What's the best plug to run in a bolt on 96 cobra?

NGK TR55 iridium is the best NA plug, if that's too expensive, NGK TR55.

Problem was the FRPP wires. They have gone sown hill since 2016, when Ford outsourced production to a plant in Mexico. I know from personal experience, Google the reviews.

I got motorcraft 8mm oem replacements, problem went away.

If your car came with msd wires, they could be dry rot / arcing as well.

I run msd coil packs, no issues there...

Rockauto has motorcraft for like $70 I think

I replaced my wires/plugs w/ FRPP's and autolite 764's last year right before storing it for winter. All of a sudden has a bad misfire in cylinder 5. Just ordered Motorcraft wires today. hopefully thatll resolve my issue.

stay away from autolites cheapies....lack of coating on the threads can cause removal issues. anti seize will help, but would recommend against them. platinum better,

Anti-seize takes care of any "lack of coating" on the threads. Not even sure what you are referring to there, other than the factory applied anti-seize.
Platinum is not better on these cars.

the combination of the two metals creates issues for plugs that are kept in the car for a long period of time. as I said, the anti seize helps but I wouldn't chance it. have seen the results myself.

I liked my ford racing wires / autolite copper plugs. Went to COP though and need to get rid of my ford racing wires that i found a couple weeks ago in a box..lol! I put less than 10k on them which sucks for what i bought them for, but the COP swap looks so much better.
