So I'm searching for 2013/2014 REAR brake rotor options [OEM size 13.78"] but seems most aftermarket companies are "confused" where they are indicating the rear rotor is the same size as all other GT500s but are in fact the 13/14 are larger in diameter.

I'm not here to debate which is better or what-not, just the various part #'s that are correct for the 13/14 rears.

What are the part #'s & brands that are correct for the 2013/2014 GT500?

I'm looking at wanting to go with slotted-type or dimple-type rears or the combination of the two....

Baer has replacement Eradispeed rotors full set for us, that’s the easy button and Baer carried by many retailers so easy to find a discount or special.
Full Tilt Boogie Racing is a site sponsor and Bruce is great to deal with as a second option.
Third is Racing Brake RB rotors are sweet, contact member DinosGT for assist with those.

What J said...

The RBs are nice, but pricey lightweight option.

Looking for the OE size 13.78 inch rotor only

I forgot to mention in the 1st post since yes there are the plus-sizing options available

Centric/Stoptech and Powerstop has the correct size rear rotors for 13/14 GT500.

Stoptech has drilled or slotted and Powerstop has drilled/slotted ones.

I went with a full set of stop tech front and rear on my 14. Drilled and slotted. They aren't 2 piece, which bummed me out. But otherwise, they look great and fit perfectly. As I recall, total cost to my door was right about $500 which I was quite pleased with.

I have been looking at the Eradispeeds, but I really don’t like the fact that you need to mount a bracket via pulling axles first. Not that it is a huge ordeal, just would rather find something else.

So with that in mind I have been looking at the DBA’s.

They make a slotted and drilled for the fronts in their 5000 series but not rear. You have to step down to the 4000 series for the rear.

Just curious if anyone is running these and if so how are they?

I would recommend StopTech (by Centric)slotted rotors. RockAuto has the best prices:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...rcharged,3298495,brake+&+wheel+hub,rotor,1896

Under the Heavy Duty Section

12661105SL left
12761105SR right

$98 each
Thank you for the information.

Have you put these particularly through the test? Road course etc?

I’m not only looking for looks but performance as well.

98 bucks each seems extremely cheap for rotors for our car, but hey if they perform that’s a killer deal.

Just curious?

I've had them on the front & rear of my 2014 Mustang GT (with GT500 rear 13.8" brake upgrade) and I've used them on 4 road course events at NJMP and Pocono, and 1 autocross outing. They worked great, even at Pocono on the back straight slowing from 135 prior to a sharp turn into the infield course. No cracking or crazing - although I have 3" brake ducts in the front.

But don't take it from me. Terry Fair of Vorshlag Motorsports used them on their S197 track build. They used the plain premuim (higher carbon and coated hubs) Centric rotors. The StopTech branded slotted (or drilled & slotted) are the same rotors except for the slots.

I got the slotted because they look better. Do not get drilled rotors for the track.

See their build pages at:

If you haven't already run across this thread I HIGHLY recommend you read it. It's very through and detailed and has a lot of good info.

I had a hard time finding something reasonably priced that was both double drilled and single slotted when I upgraded my rear brackets to the 13/14 shelby ones, I ended up having them custom at rotor pros for me and they have been great.
