152K, original engine and trans. Although 2nd is starting to grind at full throttle every once in a while...

Could the following bits get added - original clutch, functional IMRC system or IMRC delete, oil change interval (OCI) and grade of oil?

Mine is a baby at 70K with original clutch, engine, functional IMRC system and an OCI of 4K with Pennzoil Platinum 5W30. It is a garage queen that is used just for fun. I pound the miles on my commuting car with a 105 mile round trip.

Always change at 5000 with 5W30 Mobil 1 and a motorcraft filter. IMRCs were deleted at 100k, on it's second clutch now. The OE lasted 120k miles.

Always changed at 5k miles with MC filter, imrcs work just fine, on second transmission but third clutch. The oe clutch lasted 123k miles and couldve went more but i wanted a better clutch. Second clutch lasted 2k miles because i installed it improperly.

Yep, pushed to redline every drive and it's still rocking.
Me as well - these DOHC engines are more fun when they are screaming. The guy we bought our '97 from in 2016 appears to have driven it like a grandma going to church. Needless to say, once we got the IMRC plates cleaned and new plugs and wires installed, the engine runs like it is supposed to and is driven that way every time I take it out.

In the 427R
Engine rebuild currently in progress with just a hair over 33k miles on my 4V.
Seems every Mustang 4.6 4V we’ve had at the shop had engine noise.

Edit: sorry guys just noticed this was a thread for Sn95 Cobra’s.

Pick your poison.

139k miles currently on my car, and I'm the third owner. Owned it since 2004 when it had 72k on it.
Currently having it's 3rd engine built.
OEM engine went 138k
Ford 4.6 10.1:1 Aluminator short block went 900 miles
New engine in the works with boooost.

Broke the 2nd gear shift fork in the T45 at about 97k mile mark. At that point, I had the trans rebuilt.

Grenaded my rearend and blew a hole threw the differential cover around 110k, but that was my own fault. I had a leaky pinion seal after a gear swap and I never tended to it. Rebuilt the rearend with some stout gear and it's been ok ever since.

72k here. Original engine. Functioning IMRC. I usually change the oil mid season and before winter storage, so realistically it gets about 2500 miles max per oil change. Original trans and clutch as well.

Just recently swapped to IRS, so the rear diff isn't original to the car.
