What did you do to your New Edge Cobra today?

I saw this thread in the Terminator talk section and I thought, why don’t we have one?

The idea is simple, just talk about your interactions with your car today or what you plan to do to it later today.

After work, I’m picking up my Cobra from AAA’s paint shop. It’s been a long and painful process. They damaged my front bumper back in October (2017) when they unloaded my car into my driveway. Moral of the story, go straight to insurance. I’m preparing myself for disappointment TBH

What did you do?

Walked past it in my garage to get into my 4Runner and drive through snow to get to work :(

Maybe I'll run the duster over it this evening.

Got rid of the tired Mach 460. Replaced with a Pioneer AVH-2300NEX head unit, a 5 channel pioneer amp mounted to the under side of the rear deck box, jl 5-1/4”mid bass woofers and tweeters for the door, a 10”jl sub with a sealed box, and JBL 5x7’s in the rear deck. Just dropped off for new long tubes and a tune.

OK. Spring finally arrived and I put the battery back in the car, started it and moved it into the garage. Pulled off the rear bumper cover and started fixing it after I slid into it this winter with my F150 when it was about -30 and cracked it. Needless to say I was not happy when that happened.

Bought a plastic welding kit from Polyvance (formerly Urethane Supply Co).

I vacuumed the interior, Degreased the wheels and tires, hand washed and dried the cobra in the driveway for tomorrow’s cruise from Newport Beach to the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

P.S. My driverside headlight tends to condensate, so I took it off and brought it inside the house. Nothing ruins a meet & cruise like a condensated headlight.

finished installation of long tubes, just to put it on the dyno and realize the rod bearing on cylinder 8 is going bad. So now im shopping rotaring assemblies and possibly machine shops depending on the condition of the block and crankshaft. This will be fuuuuun.

Definitely getting bored over. Going with a set of forged pistons and rods, and if the crank can’t be machined, she’s getting a stroker as well. I told him to bump the compression as high as he thought we could safely go on 93 naturally aspirated. I’m excited to get it back(at least a month from now) and see what it’s about. The last time I drove the car it only had a cat back.
