Which part will result in more reduction in IATs ? I live in South Texas, hot most year round, 100 degrees in summer months. Looking to m.j maximize my 03 Cobras ability to keep those intake temps down. Will one or the other benefit more initially? Plan on getting both eventually. And aftermarket intercooler reservoir worth changing before these?

If I could only choose one probably the Heat exchanger. Of course depends on which one and how you set it up. I of course would wait and get both at same time so you dont have to drain the system twice.

What heat exchanger would u reccomend? And if I do both what intercooler?

I am running all LFP and happy with it. True Forge makes some nice stuff. A lot of guys are going to GT500 heat exchanger setups that seem to do a great job.

Thx for the info. Any thoughts on fans on the heat exchanger? Worth it?

Depends on heat exchanger and fan size and what CFM the fans flow. I know the older ones that were on the Cobras were tiny and did not flow well. Once you hit 55mph the air flow would out do the fans and they were just a restriction. The newer bigger fans on the GT500 heat exchangers seem to flow way way more and may be more helpful.

Have the Afco dual-pass heat exchanger and just added the LFP intercooler (it's made by Griffin, by the way). The combo works real well. I don't buy in to the big metal tanks, so the OE plastic gear is perfectly functional.

Driving yesterday, almost 80° outside, and the IAT2 temp would run up to just over 120° and then would trickle back down to about 110. I don't race and am not expecting ridiculously low numbers since there is just no way to get rid of the heat there, but with the new Whipple, all seems fine. From what I recall, with the Eaton/OE intercooler combo, the IAT2 would frequently be up around 140°, so I'm digging all the new stuff.

Lots of info on it here (with more in the build thread shown in the sig):

I have seen a lot of mixed reviews on here about th he killer chiller....last thing I want is a poorly functioning or not functioning AC system....its basically a year round requirement here in South Texas.

I have seen Killer chillers on the dyno , and had several friends who run them year around and I can tell you they work flawlessly when installed correctly , no heat exchanger will get your IATs well below ambient and keep them there , Kincaid makes an excellent product.

Thx, how hard is the install? Will I have to have the ac system refilled, vacuum, etc? Any special tools required?

Its not hard if you are handy , I install shut off valves so you can close off the heat exchanger out of the loop if you prefer.
