Had you considered carbon fiber? It would be great to see how that hood looks in the sunlight.

I did think about carbon and was looking at the RBH from Steve@TF. But I did the carbon thing on my last car, and $ can get out of hand quick.
Here you go Rob some better pics of the hood.

It looks good, but I'm going to toss in my opinion anyway. I would have kept the black inside the body lines of the hood and left the outer edges grey.

That is only my personal take, but I do not dislike the hood in black.

Where did you get the pad you used?

Buffing & Polishing Kits | Product categories | Emerald Coatings

I'm in Canada and so is this store but I'm sure there are similar suppliers in the USA. I picked up a "jumbo" kit with a variety of wheels, all of the buffing bars and a rake because I plan to do my exhaust system and some other stuff as well.

For the driveshaft, I sanded it with a random orbital sander with 220, 400, 600 grit (some areas by hand) and then buffed it with the brown compound on a spiral sewn buffing wheel and then a final buff with the white compound on a loose cotton wheel. It's not a perfect mirror finish because I probably rushed the step with the brown compound but it good enough for a beginner.

Thanks Revvv. I thought about that but I thought the fenders would look to big going into the hood. I thought about doing 2 stripes but with nothing done to the top or back thought that would look dumb.

I was going for late 60's earlier 70's mopar look. It's a little more upkeep with the satin black(water spots) but with the right cleaner its looks killer

Looks good, now you just need a bunch of mirrors to show it off. Like the lowriders do.

I got the kmember out and the pass side header installed. Unfortunately I have to go to a BBQ with the wifes family tonight so I won't get to work on it again until this weekend.

The fitment isn't bad at all, so far. My buddy waffleman just did a turbo install so while his Kmember was out I test fitted the headers before starting work on my car. The only place they have an issue is one primary touches the bell housing but not enough to cause an issue so I didn't even dimple the header. It looks like I have clearance on the AC line so far as well.

The only midpipe made for the JBA's is a 2.5"H-pipe. I think in the short term I'm going to just run with the JBA but I'm thinking about buying a Pypes Xbox or Hbox mid pipe and splicing the 2 mid pipes together. Everyone claims a Borla with a Prochamber and headers is the best sound out there for Cobra.

Took both cars to a car show yesterday. Had a great time. My son came in town and drove the Cobra while I took the 350. My brother, who just moved here took his two Roushes (in the lake pic) with his son who just got out of the Navy.

First time our kids have been around each other in years. It was the best day I'd had in a long time.

Both cars did well. The 350 took second in a pretty large class behind a fully restored '69 GT350 and the Cobra took 1st, tied with a Cobra R. ( pictured here, simply gorgeous cars) Not bad at all, if you ask me...
