They are also smart and beyond creative. Ban social media for kids 18 and under and they WILL find a way around it.

This is an interesting read on an experimental with Ethiopian children and Android tablets

Given Tablets but No Teachers, Ethiopian Children Teach Themselves

Earlier this year, OLPC workers dropped off closed boxes containing the tablets, taped shut, with no instruction. “I thought the kids would play with the boxes. Within four minutes, one kid not only opened the box, found the on-off switch … powered it up. Within five days, they were using 47 apps per child, per day. Within two weeks, they were singing ABC songs in the village, and within five months, they had hacked Android,” Negroponte said. “Some idiot in our organization or in the Media Lab had disabled the camera, and they figured out the camera, and had hacked Android.”
Fair point. At a minimum, parents should be monitoring their kids accounts. What parent isn't aware their kid is tormenting another, or being tormented?

Yes they are without a doubt smart, creative and resilient when it comes to technology.

It's too bad it's "assualt technology" and needs to be banned outright no matter how many people enjoy it and have never hurt a soul.

Or does that argument only work with the left and gun control?

No surprise. He did the same after Parkland. The actual city of Houston is liberal.

On a side note I'm getting tired of people regurgitating the "22 school shootings already this year" bullshit false narrative.
Seems like every big city is liberal.

Florida shooting AR15 used, 24 hour coverage for weeks

Texas shooting with shotgun and revolver, got a few hours.

No agenda clearly.

Focusing only on a weapon you hate instead of the trend of shooters with histories of mental issues, is nothing more than evil.

Don't forget the church shooting rampage here that was ended by a private citizen with an AR15. That disappeared with the quickness.

I'm getting to the point where I think society is going to get a reset, and it's going to be really, really ugly.

Mental health is definitely an issue, but how do you screen someone for mental health problems if they are trying to purchase a firearm? Assuming they pass the background check, and everything is good, how would you determine if they are mentally fit to own it? Would you have to pass a written test? Talk to a psychiatrist? And then there's the problem of, who determines what questions are asked, and who within the government gets to decide the definition of "mentally fit to own a firearm"? I can see that being a HUGE problem.

Questioner: Do you watch pro-Trump videos?
Questionee: Yes

Questioner: Do you follow any alt-right people online, such as (names random conservative and libertarian media outlets)
Questionee: Yes

Questioner: Are you pro-2A?
Questionee: Yes

Questioner: Are you a member of the NRA or GOA?
Questionee: Yes

Questioner: Sorry, but you are mentally unfit to purchase and use any firearm.

I’m tired of hearing them blame bullying. I was bullied in school by three different guys at different times from 6-9th grade as I was small (didn’t weigh but 95lbs when I graduated high school) The bullying stopped when I started throwing and landing punches.

Good point about a lot a anger issues. These days where everyone is a winner and no losers are creating generations of people incapable of handling disappointment. Bullying has been around forever and will go on forever. You cannot legislate it away by telling kids don’t do that. When you cannot discipline the bully’s these kids that do not know how to handle take it out with violence. From what I heard he did not shoot anyone he liked.

My son was being bullied this year as well in high school by a couple boys regularly. He turned them in and all the other feel good BS and nothing happened. We went over all the weak points a person has, and I told him next time one of them starts, take the shot. A clean hit to the throat, nuts, knees, face and they will think twice. Sure you will probably get a beating, but you can guarantee they will think twice. I'll cover you with anything administration wants to do. Took a lot of courage, but punk started his crap, and my son grabbed his collar and took a shot, Just glanced off the kids chin and everybody broke it up right away, but that was the end of his problems at school. Admin has never had a problem with him, and it got swept under the carpet. These school bullies know for the most part kids wont defend themselves now because of the risk of getting expelled.

+1000, sometimes people (kids) need a personality adjustment only accomplished when they receive a good thump.
It’s a fact.
My teen daughter ended a school bus bullies career by a kick to the testicles.

Got kicked off but I didn’t care one single bit, it needed to happen.

Interesting direction. Kids nowdays are products of a society that encourages them to be tolerant, not to confront adversity, discourages individual responsibility, and just encourages them to be basic whimps. Bullies see this as a splendid opportunity to continue their craft. The bullied kids feel alienated, get no help in stopping the bullies, and subsequently lash out with a weapon that evens the playing field. There does seem to be a correlation here.

I work with kids and I see a lot of this. The progressives in the schools refuse to deal with the issues properly. They try to reason with these kids and often discipline the kids that fight back much harder than the bullies. I work with a few families that pulled their kids out of school because the school refused to protect them. My son will be at school age soon and I plan on fully supporting him defending himself with force. If the school has a problem with it they'll regret it.

not at my post...
I’m not buying the bullied reasoning for this kid going off. For starters the 1st student killed was a girl that rejected his romantic overtures for months, he targeted and killed other girls too, one a Pakistani exchange student.

It is probably a combination of these things. Someone who cannot deal with rejection and then on top of the being bullied by others. On top of that you have the video games where violence is the answer to problems. So you have a bullied and/or rejected kid who probably spends a lot of time on these video games. The only answer he sees is shooting them up. What needs to be done is getting back to where kids are taught how to cope with winning AND losing. Everyone cannot be a winner no matter how much they push the everyone is equal crap. Heck maybe if he had gone through some rejection earlier on and learned how to move on afterwards this may not have happened.
