This is the ’19 Dodge Charger Scat Pack completely undisguised.

Last month, Dodge teased the new Charger SRT Hellcat. Now we’re seeing a Scat Pack-equipped model with the same modified grille intake that was earlier teased. Dodge is expected to give the Charger one more refresh before a redesigned version appears early next decade.

Power may be modified a little and there could be minor tech additions, but don’t expect too many other changes for the elderly model. The ’19 Chargers should appear later this year.

Not a bad looking car, no offense to anyone, but still a dodge. I have friends who bought the trucks, but switched back to the other brands.

Yea, I can't own a Dodge. I drove chargers at work for 4 years. Always something broken and the transmission light is always on.

We switched to fords, much better reliability so far.

They look sweet though.

Only real difference cosmetically is the grille being changed in order to accommodate adaptive cruise control if I remember correctly. Also possibly the hood on Hellcats.

My latest issue of "Fastest Street Car" magazine had a quip about a new hood that will look similar to the 1970 Super Bee. I will try to post a link

Nearly 10 years ago I got laid off from a Chrysler shipping yard. We used to unload these things every night. Hard to believe you can still make essentially the same car that long in this day and age. They sure got their money's worth out of that platform.

couldn't find a link but here's the text, under the "rumors and news" section:

DODGE TEASES 2019 HELLCAT'S RETRO STYLED HOOD

Dodge is again reaching into its 100-plus-year history as it evolves the CHALLENGER lineup for 2019, introducing a new dual-snorkel hood on HELLCAT models that pays homage to the distinctive MOPAR design themes from some of its most famous musclecars. This new fully functional hood harkens back to the mid-60s and early-70s, but with a modern interpretation that looks even more sinister and provides maximum air intake to the supercharged powerplant. More information to come this summer.
next it that is a gnarly teaser pic of a plum crazy widebody hellcat challenger with sort of like a long dual-snorkel scoop that is reminiscent of the 1970 super bee hood scoops, but maybe closer together.

anyway, pretty cool!

The panther platform has it beat handily.
It's the longest serving platform in history iirc.

Why do people praise/love the Scat Pack so much? Isn't it just an R/T with an appearance package? Serious question. I don't follow FCA products that closely anymore. Not since I got rid of my 300M Special.

Ford kept the Fox body chassis on life support for 25 years. Didn't the Panther platform come out in the '80s?
