I don't have any first hand experience with one, former Harley guy myself. They look to be great bikes and I love the styling and that tq monster 111 v-twin......by all accounts/reviews these bikes won't disappoint.

I dont see them around much but they look amazing to me. I am partial to the willow green and ivory white combo.

I listened to the stage 2 cams and exhuast package. If you like lopey cams and that crackle and pop sound it makes me want to wake up a 5 am to greet my neighbors.

I'd have to do full exhaust, headers, pipes with cam package. That Chief Vintage is a great looking bike, like the Chief Darkhorse a lot as well.

I don't ride motorcycles, but was able to supervise guys (we provided a closed course) who got to demo these bikes for a few days. They loved them. Shortly after they were done getting demo'd, they shot some footage for commercials and photographed some stills. I can't remember which year, but was within the last 5 years.

Definitely some beautiful bikes, that's for sure.

Santa Cruz/Monterey County in the commercial below.

I owned a Harley FXRS Low Glide back in the 80's. I think it was 650 lbs. No bags or fairing.

I went to the Indian dealership last year and looked at that Indian Springfield. Freaking gorgeous. Over 800lbs. I sat on it in the showroom, and let out an audible grunt just to stand the thing up off the kick stand while sitting on it. Who knew how much upper body strength got sapped by sitting on my ass in an office for 35 years? ... and I'm not a small fella.

I'd fall over at a traffic light. Bought a Cobra instead. They cost about the same thing.

I'm really digging the new Scout, but love the classic ones as well. Still sold on the Triumph Bonneville Bobber for my next bike though. I just like the simplified, stripped down look of the Triumph vs the muscular look of the Indian.

When I owned a Harley(s), I scoffed at the new Indians. Rebadged Victories I thought. Well, since Harely pulled a Harely and killed the Dyna, the rose glasses came off.

Im not sure any of the Chiefs are my style at all, but a Scout.... its grown on me.

Id still much rather have a 1 liter Yamaha sport bike with bags, but Scout looks cool.

That's actually the one I like, but forgot that it was a Bobber. It's still quite a bit bigger and busier than the triumph. Have you seen the Triumph Bobber? It's beautiful and Im gonna get one!

I think Polaris was surprised it was able to pick up the Indian brand, when it did, poor Victory couldn't survive. I wonder if Polaris ever thought about morphing Victory into standards and sport bikes. That market along with all bikes is pretty soft now, so numbers probably didn't add up.
