I convinced my wife many moons ago that we didn't need to get rid of all the old records, and am now pretty glad. Got a lot of really old stuff, and maybe 250 records. Still sounds great and still have the old Sanyo Direct Drive with the diamond needle, LOL! Wide variety of content, but everything the Outlaws (original) ever did.

Looking at some of the labels makes me feel old, LOL!

Ain’t that the truth. Got about 300. All the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and first 25 of the Stones. Almost all are from 60s and 70s. Got a bunch of 78s also.

I've got a few dozen. I miss the large format of vinyl inre the packaging. A lot of nice artwork and photography and frequently included inserts or booklets with information about the band. CD's had that as well but a much smaller version that just couldn't compete in my opinion.

We still have some. Bought a TT from U-Turn a couple years ago and the vinyl sounds good through my LS50s.

I have a crap ton. I have a few from my youth, My wife's brother, my dads and boxes of 78's from my grand parents. My favorite is what I believe to be an Original Magical Mystery Tour, it has a book in it. The one I wish I had was an original Physical Graffiti my cousin bought new. I figure they'll be worth something to my grand kids when they clean out my house.

Only about 50 or so. No eight tracks, but I have a case or two of cassettes. Just can't bring myself to throw them away.

I inherited about 50 or so from my father. Mostly country music like Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Waylon Jennings.

I have been listening to vinyl long before it was "cool" again.
I dont just buy any copy of the record I am looking for. I seek out the best sounding master. With pre 90s music, it was usually the first press. With 90s- present, it's hard to find a true AAA release these days (all analog). Most of today's releases are pretty much a CD on vinyl, all digital.
I have about 1400 records in my collection. A lot of my collection is 90s stuff and very sought after today. (Full discography of original press Marilyn Manson, NIN, Alice in Chains, Tool, etc)
Funny how a lot of people think their Beatles, LZ etc will be/are worth boat loads of money. Unless it is some rare pressing, then nope. They pressed hundreds of thousands of records in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Most are still readily available in VG+ or better shape. How many records to you think they made in the 90s for each release? Not many.

What do you guys use for a turntable and phono preamp?
