Hey guys/girls!
New to the forum, so i just wanted to introduce myself. Ive been a Mustang fan since my best friends older brother got a 91 GT convertible for his 16th birthday, and have recently gotten my first Mustang, a 2002 GT convertible. This car is a labor of love for me, as it belonged to my good friend and mentor that was killed in an EMS helicopter crash last september. It is mechanically sound, but needs a lot of cosmetic love. I was told about this forum by a co-worker, and will probably be asking a bunch of dumb questions as I work to finish it, so bear with me. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

mustangKY.jpg mustangsign.jpg shifter.jpg These are just a couple i had on my work computer. the shift knob I had made with our challenge coins inset. Before I got it, Kris had replaced plugs, coilpacks, power window motors, hydraulics for the top, put in drilled/slotted brake rotors, new tires, new battery, H pipe and flowmasters. After he died, his wife didnt want it and let me have it. I love it, even though it still needs so much work.. I hope to one day have it restored, so I can take my little girl for rides in it and tell her stories about my good friend

Welcome to SVTP! That looks like a nice '02 convertible GT. I like the black wheels with the red paint.

Thanks y'all. She needs some love, and like i said I will be lurking the for sale forums and asking dumb questions as they come up. For starters, it has this ridiculous clutch chatter. It doesnt really bother me that much as I've gotten used to it, but its still odd. It is a really nicely equipped car, with the mach 1000 stereo, which is awesome with the top down. I've just got to get some funds freed up before I can really start serious work on it. Im thinking black/machines staggered FR500 rims, keep it Laser Red with parchment top and interior (from the factory). Anybody have experience with re-foaming and covering seats?
