Quick question, can I reuse my spindle nut? I had ARP long studs in the front nut not my new AM saleen wheels will not fit, all my other rims and tires fit but not these. So just bought new hub assemblies and going to put factory studs back on. I see where they say you are not suppose to reuse the nut, not sure why but just want to see what the masses are doing out there?

I believe it’s because it’s a one time single use lock nut that forms to shape and loses its locking ability after it’s been torqued therefore you should replace it. With that said, I’ve reused mine after taking it off and just torqued it again real quick after taking the wheels off for whatever reason and it’s never been loose.

I looked at the nut and don't understand why it would make a difference, it is not a crush nut, it just looks like fake news to me why a guy would have to go buy a new nut.

Get a new updated nylock nut and you won't have to worry about it coming loose. The original style sucks, and for about $4, a new one is not worth skipping. The information is out there: Suspension

I replaced mine on my 150 when I changed the hub. As mentioned above, it’s cheap insurance.

It is a tapered nut I’m pretty sure. I’ve heard of people reusing it.
For me, it was worth $25 to replace them.
