I know it’s been asked before but what kind of collector car insurance does everyone use where you can still drive your car some every year? I have my 03 cobra and 94 cobra and I’m tired of paying this high regular insurance on them that I don’t even put 5000 miles a year on.

American Modern, 35k agreed value $500 a year. They allow 3,000 miles a year

I plan on pricing out my L and my wife's Cobra. I'm tire of paying State Farm. Their service has gone to crap over the last several years.

Grundy here. 28k for $4xx. The main reason I switched was because my regular insurance company said they valued my cobra at 14k. Not comfortable with that risk.

Can you guys also list any mileage restrictions? One of the reasons I haven't looked into this insurance is I still drive the Cobra to work or the store on a nice day.

No mileage restriction. Can't be used as substitute transportation. I did ask if I can drive to work once in a while on a nice day and they said that's not a problem.

That's good to hear. That's basically what I do. When the mood strikes I drive it. But it's not a daily or anything.

interesting. i just lump mine in with my daily (2013 Fusion Ti) and my old F150. I pay $160 a month for all 3 with full coverage. I thought that is pretty good. I did mention the F150 and Cobra only get a few thousand miles a year though but I've never looked further into it. they've never said anything about the miles which I drive the Cobra maybe 3k a year and the truck about the same

Probably worth asking what they would value the Cobra at. More than likely it won't be any where near what you think it's worth. That's why I keep thinking about going with something like Haggerty or Grundy. Just in case.

I agree. I'm realistic and know it's not worth 28k, probably not even 25k, but honestly I'd say they think it's worth about 16
