I bought a 2013 Shelby GT500 a couple of months ago. So a couple of weeks ago, I installed a metco 2.4 upper pulley, twin 65 mm Cobra Jet, and a lethal off-road H pipe. Well I took it to the dyno to get tuned and for some reason the throttle body will not open up all the way under wide open throttle. We tried several attempts to tune it but it still would not respond. So my tuner suggested that it may be the throttle body. So I took the throttle body off and I put the stock throttle body back on it. Well for some reason it is still doing the same thing. The ECT angle on the data log shows it opening ro 34 degrees. If the car is not running and the key is on, the throttle body will open to 82 degrees. I have no clue as anyone else run into this problem? Thanks Brothers.

Narrowed it down to the Tune big fella? Has to be since you have put on 2 diff Throttle Body's with the same results?

Also, when you gonna post some pics in the Pic thread in this forum?

TBs can be finicky on these cars, but sounds tune related if two TBs doing it.
WOT is only like 80% or about, sounds strange but true.
TB is a great upgrade and that dual 65 CJ should be easiest

82% is full WOT and I have to agree likely a tuning issue. We've worked with a bunch of these Mono-blade FRPP throttle body's on Cobra Jets and Customer vehicles.

RRRR03Cobra if you need any help with the tuning please give us a call at 732-780-0770

Interesting. So, 82% is wide open. Meaning, the blades are completely horizontal.

First, why is that not considered 100%?

And, is it possible to go over 82% and if yes, what angle would the blades be at?

I'm friends with RRRR03Cobra and he showed me his data logs today, the IAT2 temps were 240 degrees. Pump Fuse was fine so he took the relay out and jumped across pins 3 & 5 but intercooler pump did not come on.

So the issue appears to be the intercooler pump and maybe the car went into fail safe mode?

I saw that on his datalog. The issue wasn't the tune, for those who were following along.

I sent him a tune and it did the same thing.

Dont mean to hijack this thread but I was wondering if the CPU changes the rate that the throttle is allowed to open at any given time. I notice sometimes if I'm trying to match rev, the engine is a bit slow coming up to RPM, but it sure comes up quick when you get on it and row through the gears. Is there a way to adjust the rate in a tune?

I changed the I/C pump relay. That problem was solved. I am seeing this same issue now. I stomp the throttle and the ECT angle on the TB gradually opens like it's on a scale. The log from last night show it starting around 40 degrees and slowly opening to 75 degrees in line with increasing RPMS.

Actually WOT will say 82* and 75%, I've been looking at Coyote logs lately though they should be same.
