Shane I love the way they look.
I don't have one either and have always considered getting one.
Only issue I have is hacking up the interior to do it

I would buy another set of panels to cut and keep the original panels in storage. You can use rear inside quarter panels from other 99-04 cars.

I don't believe the switch is still available for the lighted stylebar. You can also contact CDC to make you an unbranded bar for the same price.
+1 theres so many verts out there that will have those pieces in junkyards. When i come around to buying a styling bar ill be out getting those panels

Any structural benefits of adding these? I know they aren't roll bars but curious if they help with chassis flex at all. I'm also thinking of putting one in my car as well.

My buddy is removing his bar with the light, and he will be selling it with the trim panels that have the holes cut into them. I can see what he is asking, I believe his car comes out of storage in April, so not sure if your in a hurry.
That would be pretty convenient. Is it the CDC bar? If so, I'd be interested.

No structural benefit with the light bar. To do that, I removed the factory bolt-in sub frame connectors and welded in MM full length sub frames. It helped.

A light bar makes such a huge appearance difference that IMO it should be a must-do consideration for any Terminator convertible. Kind of like the difference appearance-wise between a Terminator at factory height vs. lowered. Do it! Definitely do it!

Thanks CobraBob and all the guys who replied. I'm going for it. I won't be cutting my original panels, though. I'll find others.

i know im late to the party but i will give my thoughts. a must have for verts. get the one with the light, just makes it look planned and oem. while i know it isnt structural it is pretty stout. id say its weak link is only being bolted in. i actually upgraded the hardware to grade 8 stuff. overall its a great addition

Has anyone wired it up to a switch to disable at night with the top up? I know the light bar for later models has the feature built in, but not for 99-04.

Mine doesn't come on at all when the tops up. The switch that comes from cdc has this built in if you wire it correctly

My car came with this mod and it has the light bar. I dig it. It's a smooth, clean look.

As for the seatbelt loops, yes, you'll have to remove your OEM loops. I added the Roush low-profile loops that were designed to work with light bars. They work great and look great as well.

A pic from yesterday:

I was hoping Shane posted a photo of his car with the light bar installed. Did he go for it?

My old car came with the light bar installed. I didn’t do it, so I have no advice for you. Just make sure to get th Roush low-profile seatbelt loops, which are compatible with the light bar. My latest vert doesn’t have a bar, it’s 100% original/stock.

Did you get a Mystichrome vert?
